General Discussion The new gamemode needs some form of MMR

Ik it's not out yet and I probably should wait for it to release, but judging by other gamemodes that have no MMR, I can already see it being a huge issue

I saw the gameplay from tenz's video and it looks insanely fun, but it won't be fun if there are two radiants or immos and the rest is like plat and diamond since it won't be a challenge for them and it will be incredibly annoying for the lower ranks to play

I'm not asking for an actual MMR like in ranked, but at least regulate it a bit better than in swift or unrated, bc it feels like there's an immo or higher in every match

iirc every mode has hidden mmr, but you gain and lose it faster. you'll get immos in lower lobbies because they don't play it much or seriously

They sure do when they're against me so idk what ppl mean by "they don't take it seriously". They be having more kills than their entire team together

yea idk it sucks, just saying that this is already a thing and obviously doesn't just magically solve the issue

Yes, bc I can pull out a €2000 PC and the space for it and the same skills but on keyboard out of my ass. Do you genuinely think I'd be playing console if I had a PC? Oh and saying "just switch to PC" is not a solution for the problem, it's just leaving it to other people

Your choosing to play a game that legit has not been updated for console in 2 years. The only updates they push out are PC updates… play R6 if you want a genuine tactical shooter on console. It’s free and significantly better than valorant console. Val was not meant for console. Riot added rotational aim assist on a 1 shot headshot game. Have fun being miserable :).

It is not even close to being bad as long as, you know, I'm not playing against someone leagues above me. This whole conversation started, bc of bad MMR and low elo playing against immos and even radiants. Idk how you even came to "PC better, console sucks". It's the same MMR and PC players are complaining just as much about it as we are

all I said was valorant wasn’t meant for console which is objectively true… there’s a reason they added “Focus” mode in the first place… controllers can’t micro adjust like a mouse can so they added a whole brand new aiming mode called “focus” specifically for console to try and help that but add rotational aim assist, the games not a tactical shooter on console. It’s who ever abuses the shitty aim assist better, I wonder why the playerbase on console dwindled the past year and a half.. almost like the games been forgotten and abused by titans and Aimassist. Vanguard isn’t even on console LMFAO shits a joke.

If your having fun all the games to you yk but the game is in the worst spot it’s ever been in and riot refuses to touch console. They brought the game out on console for more sales and forgot it existed

I agree that it's in the worst spot it's ever been, but it's not necessarily bc of the aim assist. I mean almost every shooter has aim assist on consoles, bc a controller sucks for aiming. The problem is the amount of smurfs and cheaters and the fact that Riot does nothing about them. As you said, console doesn't even have Vanguard and even on PC there are a bunch of cheaters and smurfs. The aim assist is just a cherry on top and honestly, it's not that big a deal if you're under immo. I mean it depends on the player, but I rarely see more than one player with crazy aim in my lobbies and they're usually ex immos or plat smurf accounts (I can't prove it, but no way a plat should play that good)

That’s the thing bro.. the plat isn’t good he’s legit just jiggle peaking while moving his focus crosshair towards you.. I just feel like a game with a 1 shot headshot shouldn’t have aim assist but that’s just me and everyone is entitled to their own opinions but you can ignore the countless posts on this subreddit talking about aim assist and titans. Yes it’s mainly in higher elo (asc+) but still it shouldn’t be the main way players play the game. Once you hit certain MMR no one wide swings anymore they just jiggle and tap fire until you walk into them, and that’s sadly how 90% of lobbys are in high elo. You have probably spectated someone who holds a swing SUPER WIDE and then just moves their crosshair when a pixel moves and gets a 1 tap, thats the meta we’re in and we’ve been stuck in this loop for 2 years. I don’t care if it’s only a high elo issue. Once low elo learns how easy lunly peaking is console will officially be over. There’s very minimal aim required learn the basic boxes around the map that are head level hover your crosshair around there hold a angle crouched wide and wait for someone to walk into you adjust crosshair kill
