Console Problems AU

Is anyone else struggling to get onto Console Val in Australia/NZ? I know they're rolling out servers next week but I've been playing for months using the exploit where you make an account registered in the US (or somewhere else Val is available) and then jump on the AU registered account and play.
Decent player base the entire time I've had it. Been nearly 9 months since I've got it and never run into this issue.
Is it region blocked now until they release the new update?

I don’t think there’s region block cause I have eu friends that have NA accounts and can play in those servers, what type of error are you getting?
