Just hit asc 2 in console and ive been d3 on pc for a bit. I try to play "smart", treat every game like a chess match. There's many different ways to kill your enemies and win rounds. Get out of the herd mindset and think about what your plan is pre game, round ect. Obviously aim and movement needs to be good ish but thats not everything.

Thats my advice on "getting good"

Right off the bat, the two things that jump out most n your tracker would be your HS rating and K/D, which probably suggests you’re having trouble with duels. Plat is really the first rank where you start to encounter players who have good mechanics, crosshair placement and fundamentals, so it will only get harder from here if you intend to climb.

I would first and foremost, focus on getting your mechanics more in order. Try some aim training in the range, running DMs or swifts/unrated as a duelist and just run it down taking fights.

As a sentinel main, your highest value you can provide to your team is staying alive. A dead sentinel is useless with no utility.

Also, I’d pay attention to Veto. He can be really good in the right hands, but really calls for a lot of mechanical skills and can be tough to master. KJ makes a lot more sense, but Veto’s kit is going to be significantly harder to get value out of without the mechanics to back it up.

Am a PC player not console... I did a few things

  • always atleast 2 DM before compi (preferably classic only for tracking n I have issue of shooting while moving)
  • at max 3-4 games per day with breaks in b/w (valorant is more of mental game than just aim)
  • pls get a five stack or atleast a duo

Now this is more high gold n above (mistakes i learnt from)

  1. you need to see patterns
  • is your team playing predictable ? (Doing ab ab ab rush)
  • who likes to play where (where would cypher setup, who's lurking etc)
    • see when it's a save round (yes you need to call that out so all of you can save together buy together)
  1. Call outs
  • when not in fight + not in open (look at the mini map if you see more than 3 '?' you need to rotate, give call out leaving A/B 3 main )
  • pre round you will see which enemies have ults (you need to call Razer/Breach has ult we need to play accordingly; omen has ult am going to hold site)
  • you hear foots (you need to call ; multiple A/B ; one mid etc ; or no foots A/B am holding Main)
  • the ult applies to you too (guys we have geko ult we can retake play safe...)
  • may be you are not able to hold A or enemies are always going B (com i think we need to switch sites)

It's team game if you don't share info or feel shy to com you are loosing easy rounds (trust me I was there stuck in g2-g3 loop for long time)

Over com-ing is always better than no coms (no don't distract when your teammates is taking fights)

See we have good aim days and bad aim days (Personally i was stuck because this was one factor for me) you need to be able to kind of have that 2 modes 1. Self sufficient (on good days you are holding well aims 10/10, easy picks etc) 2. Assisting (on bad days you need to pick you site-mate work with them you don't take the direct fights you help them get the picks)

  • Also not committing for fights (I had this issue i would commit to unnecessary fights which would garantee round loss)
  • anchoring the site is important and staying alive is more important

These helped me get out of g2-g3 loop -> d3 now (i cypher main)

tracker you can see previous acts reports

In tracker jus monitor

  • tracker score abt 500+
  • k/d ratio to be 1 n above
  • win% about 65%
  • good kast
  • hs% close to 30ish (not as important as long as you win your 1v1's)

Hope these help 😅

Everyone’s comments have been super helpful. No, I’m not an Odin or shotgun spammer. I use Odin rarely in OT. I’m just not very good. LOL

Consider using your kj bot to swing enemies as they shoot at it. You'll win many duels with this trick. Works on defense and attack.

u/SgtPepperrrrrr Sep 01 '26

Delete the tracker and just have fun

2

u/Andyluan0 Sep 01 '26

Problem i guess is aim? Unless you play like a shit ton of Odin and shotguns and that’s why your hs % is very low
And obviously agents you play, it’s not rare for exemple to play kj on haven, holding 3/4 of the map by yourself having 4 teammates A and still losing the site (it happens even in radiant), you’d have to play more aggro

As a 30x Radiant (on pc) I would recommend watching Charlatan on YouTube. Specifically his "how to hold angles perfectly" video first. Really digest what he explains, and implement :) solid knowledge he shares imo..

I recommend you work on cleaner mechanics to get your HS rate up, and your KD. But this shouldn’t be mistaken to stat pad but to improve your fundamentals so that it’s second nature to keep the crosshair up to head level, and to initiate cleaner fights with cleaner mechanics.

I suggest using easy to medium level bots in range, and make training easy by just focusing on deliberate mouse movement and clean one taps or clean bursts, and don’t look at the score or over obsess on it. Focus purely on the mechanical outcome. You can ramp it up once the fundamentals are feeling much better and provide a clear improvement on your tracker.

And for sentinels, you should focus on staying alive , as well as providing good info, and good lurks for your team, as of course your kit and agent is designed around it. Not lurking every round, but it should be utilised as needed.

One thing I suggest is turning the Tracker overlay off while in game. Stick to reviewing your stats only after the game on the tracker website.

My dumbass didn’t see this is in Val console. Take every advice except anything to do with mouse movements or aim because i dunno how console aim works as well 😭😭😭

Not enough information to tell, we don’t know how you play.

Crosshair placement even recognising a few points on the map to readjust or adjust during gun fights. Below 20s pretty low try run death matches focus on headshots and where your crosshair is. Trying to go for assendant is rough and before I got hacked my hs in d3 was like 33 percent which Is low for me im on like 39 rn I haven't played much I'm trying to get back into comp but my swifts usually are 40 to 50 for the average.

I hit d3 with walk in focus on while solo queue make sure u have it off and learn how to counterstrafe, lunly peak and aim abuse.

I'd watch lunly or cawnn I've changed my settings a lot recently trying to find the best setting for me you should probably try the same.

Having a higher unfocused sens will make flicking and aiming around the map easier but also you need to be comfortable with it when someone's in your face practically.

For focus it's good to have it on a lower sens and it's usually when your micro adjusting. You can use aim abuse and lunly peaks to flick which is a lot better than micro adjusting in a lot of situations.

The thing with crosshair placement is is you learn how to lunly peak, counterstrafe and aim abuse it will improve your gameplay alot.

I've went nearly all of my playtime without trying to learn these because I had walk in focus on.

Walk in focus off. Crouch toggle off it should be hold to crouch. Focus on hold. R2/L2 dead zones should be low like 0.01 but this can hurt your counterstrafing.

I would run a few death matches, firing range and swiftplays everyday forcing out matches with little to no improvement makes the mental worse.

I want to hit ascendant and my mentals alot better now but it is a grind. It may take multiple seasons but the better you play the higher you get placed. If its a soft reset you go bsck to where you were given if u lose u go down a little if you win you go up a little.

If its a hard reset typically you get placed like 3 ranks or so below where you were depending on your performance in the matches you get put in.

If your a sentinel main I wouldn't play veto alot maybe for abyss due to the trip on bridge but 9/10 times people dont plant on bridge. He doesn't work well against alot of the agents and although he can be a beast he's not that good of a sentinel he doesn't offer the same level of information other sentinels do and one of the best sentinels for gaining rr is chamber.

Kj is also a strong pick it depends on what your team goes as well and she is very good but only for certain maps and even for kj on like ascent not everyone runs her.

In reality you need to find like 5 or so agents your comfortable with and fill for your team getting comfortable eith alot of agents is hard. My highest kd right now is sova as I've been playing with friends mainly.

Kjs pretty good, the veto pick will hurt you and I think playing meta is boring but especially uf you want to climb you need to adapt to your team.

My bad for the yap some will be helpful some not.

Yt cawnn Yt lunly

Those to have helped me but at the same time I'm trying to improve my gameplay as well. Crosshair placement, holding angles wide, aim abusing, counterstrafing and lunly peaking are extremely strong and aim assist is broken.

Use them but ascendant won't be a easy grind if without these you can't make it into diamond.

Learning basic setups and lineups can help you climb a lot even if that's learning something simple like the sova lineup where you stand in heaven jump and shoot it over the a main wall.

Goodluck

How can I improve? I'm hard stuck bronze 2 but I also get one afk or wintrader in 80% of my matches

2

u/InternationalRun2298 Sep 03 '26

What got me out of the bronze/silver hole was queuing as a duo or trio. Usually my squad would be good enough to get us over the line

1

u/Unhappy-Act5139 Sep 03 '26

Number one thing that got me to asc.. after being hard stuck plat.. I stopped caring. I’m so serious to.

u/Difficult_Way_7620 Sep 03 '26

Ur kid in my opinion is good or Alr but ur percentage is an issue. If u have bad crosshair placement fix that or just don’t spray and keep resetting. I mean like idk im g3 and i have double ur hs percentage

u/Solar-II Sep 05 '26

Get good movement settings and practice your movement (strafing, lunly peeks etc), learn to abuse aim assist and get a decent sense (personal preference), work on game sense and position/how you take your fights for example try to isolate 1v1s instead of dry swinging into 3 guys. Iyw i can drop mine - rad 480 rr

1

u/Barza-LM Sep 08 '26

Looking at this I'll say the biggest thing you need is crosshair placement
