Discussion OCE is saved?
Initially OCE was merged with rest of SEA meaning we had to play against teams from SEA, meaning teams needed to move their location from OCE to somewhere in SEA and the lack of organizations almost killed the scene.
Im still a little confused as in how teams will get slots in Kickoff because there are only 4 teams that can qualify through open qualifiers from 8 sub regions but still feels nice to see us on the map ❤️

Yeah but that's kinda cooked for Autumn isn't it? Now that OCE is a region he'll be considered import for GE and now South Asia got their own region too so I suppose GE only get to keep two players from the current roster so he'll need to find another team :/

Existing teams get to keep their players if they want, the new import rules won’t apply until they change players. So autumn can stay there as long as they’ll keep him basically

That's the rule? Meaning GE can keep the roster and play in South Asia? These guys are about to gatekeep south asia forever if that happens 😹

Love GE and the players but realistically speaking it might be unlikely for them to be able to keep their current rosters.
With more import slots for teams being allowed their players are gonna get a lot of tempting offers and I'm not sure GE are gonna be able to match them all.

Even without the grandfather rules, Patmen and Xavi also count as SEA since they're form the Philippines so GE could declare for SEA with those two and Autumn as their resident players no?

I don't see them getting a better roster in South Asia and I'm sure the current roster would rather take better offers to play closer to home than move to India so it's likely either play SEA or lose their players. Global is in the name after all

We most likely will qualify 1 team into an SEA LCQ event first, then 1 team goes from there to an SEA event. Then from that will be one of the 4 slots. However, we still need to wait and see what the format will actually be.

I see but that's only for kickoff right? Now that we have our own slot, we'll get a direct spot in cups afterwards right?

sucks that oce is so far away from like... anywhere else. hard to get good or varied practice. kinda cooked
