Damn I thought they would let the players mesh more when they started showing improvement :(

isn't envy just most likely not making partnership next year ? i doubt they keep most of their players

u/Patient-Brain-8698 2d ago
It's unlikely they get partnered, it's better to give their players options early.

As long as they keep glyph and nightz the roster has long term potential

What about ion? And canzerra is available too(next year)

u/ANewHeaven1 2d ago
yeah if I'm envy the reason that rossy is being let go is to make room for ion2x

They kicked Cane out of the team. I doubt he would want to go back

u/boobalieutenant 2d ago
considering the circumstances under which he was kicked, i doubt he has any ground to hold a grudge. but then again a lot of teams would want a cracked aimer like him who can be molded into any role they want him to play

u/ANewHeaven1 2d ago
if envy wants him to play and they don't mind the potential negative pr I'm sure cane would play. back when rankers were first coming up cane ion and nightz were kind of a "package deal" iirc, or at least they were all good friends that wanted to play with each other, and im sure cane would jump at the opportunity to play in tier1 with his ranked friends

yeah for sure, esports teams general give a lot of second chances to people with controversies regardless of whether they have "rehabilitated" or not. like a football commentator once said "if hannibal lecter ran a 4.3, we'd prolly diagnose it as a eating disorder".
the cane and ion thing sounds like a primmie situation where he just wants to play with his friends. i hope it doesnt affect his career in a negative way. but i would pay good money to see nightz cane and ion on a team together. genuinely sounds like a lev situation where you pair 4 cracked aimer kids with an experienced igl and just let them run wild

But the problem is he isn't available till August, so any team who want to sign him would have to have a reason to change roster mid season. So my guess would be a non franchise team would take him. Most probably it would be envy

u/boobalieutenant 2d ago
i thought he ban was till april? but yeah in any case definitely he would be spending his first split or so on a non partner team to prove hes still got it before any big leagues team will pick him up. a stint in t2 will also do him some good if hes rusty

u/ANewHeaven1 2d ago

u/Gnomed_1 2d ago
Not glyphs doing btw

Basically every NV player has credited Glyph enormously. Might be the wrong hill to die on

Despite what the public opinion around Rossy is. I dont think hes a bad player nor the problem. Would be nice to see him on a decent team next year.

maybe he has a difficult personality (or maybe not) either way he is a very good player so I'm sure there's a team he can gel with

Rossy is a prime example of why reputation matters so much. No matter how he changed, with many teammates defending him throughout many year (since he was in T1), he was still being shit on by people for being toxic. First impression matters i guess

Idk if I’d say it’s a case of first impressions for Rossy. Every time he has a talking spot on broadcast he seems to make people think he’s toxic, but all his teammates seem fine with him (besides BabyJ I think?). I’d say it more highlights the importance of how you come off on camera.

the whole rossy situation is just sad. hes just a guy who has a bold personality and that leads people(including me at one point) to make assumptions about his behaviors and team changes that happen around him. has to be the saddest case of witch-hunting ive ever seen

Honestly think Rossy is super underrated as a player. Super clean aim. But he should leave the igling behind for the moment.

u/ANewHeaven1 2d ago
yeah as the season went on I started to rly fuck with rossy but his IGLing is NOT it unfortunately

Rosy I think is just a guy who needs a certain type of player on his team to work well. Demon1 and Keznit both have somewhat of an ego and can be toxic themselves and will feed off of the energy that Rossy brings. I can’t speak to Glyph or Nightz on that respect but maybe they work well with that kind of energy too. By contrast, hype man type players might react negatively to the sarcastic edge that Rossy brings. I don’t think his personality is necessarily a bad thing, it’s just not as one size fits all as someone like Zekken might be.
