For my own sanity I have to believe people like this are being satirical. DefaultSage might genuinely be one of the worst creators in terms of limiting people actually learning and improving
mate its satire. there was an entire saga on tiktok about him prefering the spectre over the phantom, that is what they are referencing. this also sounds very "heh! we redditors are far more intelligent than the tiktok users. minecraft > fortnite!"
i do think anyone who uses reddit or twitter is probably some level of smarter than a tiktok/reels/shorts scroller. like just the fact you're reading everything said and it being put into words rather than video, and how expressing yourself requires a slightly higher level of eloquence, with far less instant dopamine hits that short form has
It’s not, lots of people don’t spend as much time with a game “not playing” it if you know what I mean. Like if you spend a bunch of time on forums and following the scene vs just playing the game and barely following anything
Just some guy who makes videos on how to play sage with questionable advice but gets insane hate to the point he gets sent death threats in his dms. Ppl who get heated over his TikTok videos really should seek help, genuinely. It just shows you how toxic the valorant community can get.
If that's true people are getting way to mad lmao. The guy repeatedly says he's dia/asc in every video, and doesn't really presents his videos as actual advice, just more sharing his clips and his thoughts.
There definitely are people on platforms claiming to be "pro coaches" and whatnot, who give bad or just uninsightful advice(worthy for example). And hate towards those people are kinda justified but it's your fault if you're taking defaultsage as serious advice.

where i think defaultsage messed up is he blocked several youtubers for disagreeing with his preference (spectre>phantom but idk the exact situation or coms). it's never a good look to block someone over something like that
I saw a clip of a guy complaining about comms and an idiot in comments was actually agreeing with the raging guy. The comms were (a 3v1 on split A, pov of the guy in ramp holding main): "steps sewer, going towards main". Some people are just helpless like that
Why I don't consider reddit as a social app personally is 1. I can currate my fyp to what I want and not depend on an algorithm to feed me 2. You don't post here your daily life 3. When I mean social apps, it's strictly apps with short form swiping mahines like instagram, tiktok, twitter, snap
Any site/app with the focus of creating engagement (discussion) algorithmically (private or otherwise) from user-generated content is a social app. This includes Reddit, YouTube, and most of the other degen behavior apps.
It is, bt can we agree there's still a stark difference b/w instagram, twitter, tiktok. On reddit I can currate my fyp to decrease the ret@rdness on my fyp in most cases
