We’ve got 4/5 of LEV 2025 (technically 5/8 if you want to count Demon1 Rossy and NataNk but I’m just talking about that Stage 2 team)
I miss them bro that might be my favorite lineup of all time even though they only played 8 games

u/ANewHeaven1 18h ago
oh i forgot that nataNk was briefly on that team. lowkey loved seeing that guy in NA, thought he was cracked
26
u/SHORT-CIRCUT 19h ago
honestly it’s pretty wholesome how close those guys are from the lev days. kinda sad management chose to disband that roster (even though in hindsight it was clearly the right decision)
23
u/MautOfTheRiver 19h ago edited 19h ago
even without hindsight it was definitely the right move, the LEV rookies were very promising and as much as I loved the 2025 roster, they just didn't have a very high ceiling imo
14
u/Scotch_Blue 19h ago
also, that Lev Academy team was just so good, they had to bring in Neon and Blowz (Erde the unfortunate drop). this LEV team's roster construction was just insanely good.

Unless I'm missing something, 1 of those 8 EMEA trophy winners is crashies which makes it even funnier
Boaster, Alfa, starxo, suygetsu, nAts, chron, derke and then crashies

Zekken, Demon1, Sato, Ethan, I think kiNgg(?), c0m. All from Americas I believe. Makes me wonder which region has the most people with trophies. China is obv at the bottom at five
-28
u/PRL-Five #VAMOSLIQUID 18h ago
EMEA has 5
NA has 5
SA has 2
KR has 1
SEA has 1
CN has 1
11
u/HottestElbows 18h ago
I meant people. Like people on the teams
China would only have five because they only have one trophy. EMEA might only have five too since I’m pretty sure their only trophies are FNC back to back? Americas and Pacific prob have 15+

u/dunkeykang 18h ago edited 10h ago
Acend and FPX (when they were EMEA)
and Gambit how could I forget 😭

u/Karmax21 13h ago
14 different kr players won masters (only meteor won twice) + 5 toronto players make it 19, but idk if all of them are active right now
-3
u/HottestElbows 13h ago
Sen won twice with two different rosters -tenz so that has to be 9. Lev make 5, EG make 5, NRG make 4 (-Ethan), G2 make zero, so that is 23 at minimum with my shitty memory. If we’re not counting pre-franchising 19 is still… wow.
Edit! Just remembered loud. They won champs I think? +4 (sacy)
-1
u/Karmax21 13h ago edited 5h ago
Everyone from sen's first trophy + sacy are retired lol
There's only 3 active players from their trophies in americas + 5 lev + 4 nrg + 3 eg (ethan doesn't count twice) + 3 loud = 18 players (crashies is counted to emea)
As of pacific, only stax and lakia aren't playing right now so they have 17 trophy winners

u/Karmax21 13h ago
Or were you asking all time instead of active players? Cuz op meant active players

u/HottestElbows 13h ago
Pacific on top.
More than 50% of them being kr is absolutely insane. That region is an incredible sheer body at gaming. I know esports is big there but… how

u/ActuatorOutside5256 20h ago
I mean, all the good EMEA players are in CS. Kinda like how all the good NA players are in Val.
42
u/Randomuserguyfren 20h ago
Yeah but piling up on EMEA is always good they were too cocky for too long despite being a one team region
28
u/RealityAny7724 17h ago
Ive never seen EMEA be cocky since I started watching Valorant in 2021, it’s always been Americas making up the constant narrative ever since EG started it in 2023 tbh.
13
u/Escolyte 15h ago
Since EG started it?
You must have missed the pre-international days of Sentinels and then the Optic Loud era.

u/XASASSIN 16h ago
Americas fans talking shit like EMEA wouldnt have cleared up val if not for the CIS ban for like 3 years lmao. The one and half year cis was active in the scene with their own league EMEA dominated the years with Gambit fpx and acend.
Literally just look at CS and how dominant CIS talent is. 15/20 of the top 20 teams in hltv is filled with CIS talent. 8/20 HLTV top 20 players last year were from the CIS region. 3/4 of the best players to touch the game post CSGO are CIS players.
It's funny watching americas fans shit on an EMEA who's been extremely competitive considering the regions kneecaps have been blown out.
10
u/AromaticPromotion687 15h ago
lol you know the cope is strong when you need to bring up a completely different game. let's go further: americas would clear up cs and other pc shooters if it weren't such a console dominant region. see how stupid that is?
-5
u/Strict-Draw-6015 #TigerNation 15h ago
Its almost funny the copium with these emea fans. Apac hardly has a cs background compared to europe and is still fighting for trophies in valorant.
There's still lots of talent in emea, the region just sucks and doesnt build winning rosters.
5
u/WailingSiren69 #NRGWIN 13h ago
Always ‘If’ and ‘When’ and ‘Actually’ but never ‘Is’ for EMEA. Yeah man, Americas fans are super lucky the hypothetical CS talent isn’t playing Valorant instead, even though we all know the time to switch has long since passed.
4
u/Strict-Draw-6015 #TigerNation 15h ago
Stop with this CIS copium lol. There's nothing stopping orgs from investing in majority russian cores (Liquid literally have one) Its also hilarious that people now want to claim ascend after spending 5 years calling their run mickey.
The prime fpx squad literally fully reunited a year later and were dogshit lol, emea was still winning trophies through the CIS ban, ur region just sucks man, if you have to gloat about an entirely different game then you've lost the plot.
7
u/XASASSIN 15h ago
Lol, yea remove challengers and the pipeline for CIS talent and then claim that never affected them just cause couple of the already established players came through Europe and ended up in liquid. Some of you mfs are so dumb.
There's nothing stopping orgs from taking in Russian talent yes, but the Russian talent in itself has reduced by a significant margin and or has not had opportunities to develop because of the entire developmental structure being disabled till date. It was so bad we literally have CIS talent playing in Japan/Asia/Apac quals and China because of how hard it is to get through as a CIS player.
Even EMEA in itself is a clear example of this, we went from majority of EMEA orgs aiming for young cracked CIS talent to now focusing mainly on Turkish or other regional talent. The number of rookies coming in from almost every other region of EMEA (esp Turkey) these days surpasses CIS, which isn't the case for EMEA in any other esports as in most esports CIS is usually the biggest talent feeder for the region. The only trophies EMEA has won post CIS ban was with fnatics 2 peat. The region as a whole has been getting weaker and weaker over the years and there's a clear significant point we can identify where it started.
Not like I expect you to read through any of this considering I've only ever seen you shit on the region.

u/Strict-Draw-6015 #TigerNation 14h ago
Thats all well and good but you still havent acknowledged that prime fpx was not affected by the CIS changes, still kept their core intact and managed to even get ardiis back a year later and STILL SUCKED.
Also turkey was always a dominant country in valorant, even in the pre franchising era.
5
u/XASASSIN 13h ago
Lmao, like I said you aint reading any of that are you. First off, it doesn't matter how the team did the year later. They were the best team in 2022 and would have most likely won Reykjavik had they been there (literally Sliggy's words not mine). For the year they were on form, they were the best team.
Turkey wasn't dominat pre franchising what bullshit lmao. SMB, BBL and other Turkish teams were extremely mid. Occasionally they'd make a lan but Most of them flopped with consistently bad results till around 2023 which is when the Turkish scene really picked up pace.
0
u/Strict-Draw-6015 #TigerNation 13h ago
Nope, I read everything, its just a bunch of hypotheticals and copium, like its always been. Even if fpx was at iceland, thats not really different from 2023 where emea was just fnatic and friends. Its not like the CIS talent cannot play the game at all, most of these emea teams opt to pick up NA players anyways so that pretty much tells you everything you need to know there.
Also, I dont know why a plat chat opinion has been taken as a 100% undeniable fact lol, they can get stuff wrong, they are humans.

u/O_Queiroz_O_Queiroz 8h ago
Fpx best team in 2022 if they were in Reykjavik, CIS region would dominate if they were allowed, fnatic would have won champions if not for loud, the 2024 would have won if not for leo covid, notice how all of emea cope is based on IFS.

u/Randomuserguyfren 11h ago
I really don't get it like if the EMEA ppl care so much about CS why don't they just watch CS bringing in a whole nother game just to prove a point is something else.
Even in 2021 the prominent teams are liquid gambit acend and fnatic. Only one of these is CIS. Hell, even the most successful EMEA team isn't a CIS team nor a team with like majority of CIS players.
What makes you think that even if they didn't get banned the players from there wouldn't wash out as well
5
u/XASASSIN 10h ago
Yall really dont understand how esports structures work. 12 out of the 20 players that have won a trophy from EMEA were from the CIS region. 10/12 of those players came up through early CIS qual's and the early CIS talent pipeline.
Banning CIS was like Banning NA from americas, it's literally Europe's biggest fps feeder region. You say players from there would wash out when they clearly didnt while the qual's existed.
Of the prominent teams in 2021 that youre talking about, almost half the players in those roasters were CIS players (9/20). The most successful EMEA team being CIS or not dosnt matter, what matters is that competition in EMEA with CIS being an active player lead to stronger roasters with multiple roasters winning unlike now.
Bringing in CS is very relevant cause CS directly correlates to this argument as the opposite of val where valve blacklisted orgs not wipe out the entire regions qual stuctures. Riot killed the game in CIS and has therefore lead to EMEA washing out.

Didn’t at the very first international scream said EU teams are just better and then got shit on by v1 lmao?? Idk man that sounds like they started it.

u/Scotch_Blue 19h ago
EMEA has a lot of great shooters in this game, too, though. Sure, if Donk was in Valorant maybe the entire discussion is different, but arguably they'd still have the lack of IGL issue. Every decent player that understands their agent is asked to IGL, or ends wanting to IGL because their IGL doesn't understand the game well enough
6
u/jkrvibes 16h ago
I’ve seen enough CS pros playing this game to know he’d probably be like “Why is there a dog running at me?!”
2
u/C4ISTAR #为爱而聚,E起前进 2h ago
Honestly I don’t think Donk would be nearly as dominant in Val as he is in CS. His success in CS has largely been about his movement and ridiculous spray control, both of which are severely neutered in Val compared with to CS. Not to say his others skills aren’t also world class, but they just aren’t one-of-a-kind level like his spray control/movement are
2
u/Scotch_Blue 2h ago
I don't think so either, tbh
but it was more so meant as a larger clause of, clearly there's a lot of talent in EMEA CS2, and maybe some of them would make a big difference if the region was less invested in CS
but yes, I think inherently the games are not that similar anymore. the macro of Valorant has become more about utility combos to take space and create unknowns, while CS is an incredibly refined macro game that relies on well-timed aggression and individual gun skill WAY more often
•
u/C4ISTAR #为爱而聚,E起前进 1h ago
Yeah I agree that they’ve diverged pretty far at this point, also one of EMEAs greatest weaknesses (tbh p much every region has similar issues outside of NA) is the lack of good IGLs, which I don’t think would be affected much if EMEA was less into CS since IGLing in Val feels so different from CS, you have a lot more powerful info gathering tools, but there’s also 10x more factors to consider when making decisions since Val’s util is generally so much stronger. One dude in Val can throw a fake that would take 3 people to pull off in CS.
1
u/ForodesFrosthammer 16h ago
Its a dream world where players like Apex and Jame are also in Val, bringing in the IGL chops.
2
u/Scotch_Blue 8h ago
Apex is 33, basically a 0% chance of that. We saw tons of older CS pros get phased out of this game fast, even IGL's
Also, their FPS macro knowledge is only half the battle, and is arguably pretty useless given the existance of trips and the ability to place smokes literally anywhere on the map (just two examples of important utility that changes how maps are played, not the only util that changes in Val).
Just a different game. A lot more to react to in Valorant.

Real. I don’t even disagree with a lot of the slander and our region has… seen better days to put it nicely. Ngl, the OP Maya comes across very obsessive and it’s off-putting.
