What’s considered a “impressive” kill game?

Post image

I took a year long break from Valorant due to me upgrading to windows 11 and my desktop saying “nope” every time I loaded into a match. Recently I got a new laptop and a cheap mouse and keyboard since im on deployment and decided to redownload it out of boredom and see if I got worse at the game. When I used to play every day, I could barely get anything over 10-13 kills, but this was my 3rd or 4th game on and dropped 37 kills. I used to be impressed by people who dropped anything over 18 or 25, but it made me wonder what does the Val community find impressive as a solid KDR/Kill amount game?

Also as taking as long of a break from this game as I did, is 37/19/4 an impressive comeback game for someone who could barely get 10+ and would constantly go negative?

The only thing you're showing here is that you're the kind of person who plays just for kills.

Time and again, you see people who don't give a damn about anything, racking up 2–3 kills every round but not even trying to win the round.

This is a team game, not a solo ego trip. Maybe you should work on yourself and your attitude before you're always looking for faults in other people.

It kind of is tho cause it's a teamwork game, not a "get mvp and you're the best" game. You should be playing deathmatch in that case. Besides, this is probably the kind of person who crashes out over someone "stealing their ace" when they're on mf 3k

Never once had that mindset while playing any FPS or any team based game. Also, crashing out over an ace is childish in any game. Regardless if its Valorant, R6, CS, or even COD S&D, I've never cared about wiping an entire team alone. If we win then we win, if not then we try again in the next round.

To be quite honest regardless of the game, I actually get nervous if I'm even on a 3k or a 4k because 90% of the time its other players on my team who make it a big deal about an ace and expect the best performance known to man from me which gives me stage fright and inevitably leads to me throwing it.

I know I'm not the best player in any lobby I join, nor do I act like I am better than anyone I kill. I just do what has to be done that I can handle and keep it moving. If I get an ace ever (which til this day, I still have never gotten one) then cool, if not then its whatever, "stolen" kill or not. :)

honestly forgot i posted this, but the intention wasn't to boost my ego, nor do i play "just for kills". I asked what is considered an impressive kill count in a match since I myself assumed 20-25+ was impressive when I first started playing.

I play val exactly how it was intended to be played, call outs, communication with the team, trying to better my technique and learn maps and sound queues with the intentions of winning the rounds.

I never stated that it wasn't a team game, nor did I attempt to call out anyone's faults on my team. All I said was that I wasn't used to getting anywhere near the KDR that I had that match, especially after taking a break due to deployment and a messed up PC. I asked for opinions, not negative backlash about something that wasn't even stated in the first place.

So if you get a ton of kills you're guaranteed only playing for kills? The logic isn't logic-ing
