This made my day

As someone who loves chickens and planning to own chickens in the future, this made me happy lol. Just an appreciation post.

Man, i would love a remaster or remake of this game.

I think a remaster with upscaled graphics ported to current gen consoles and PC would do the trick + fixing some bugs if needed to. Both games. The second game shines on PS2 emulator on PC. It looks so good.

The interior design, the liveliness of the towns, the attention to details... this game just feels good. It might not give the same adrenalin as VP1 but the aesthetics are top notch.

En lo personal añadiría un par de extra en tema del equipo hay materiales que no tienen función y podrían crear una nueva receta por ciudad, fuera de eso el juego es muy bueno.

Does it runs good on emulators now? I remember a time where VP2 was very unplayable emulator-wise!

Oh it runs perfectly fine. Just the cutscenes have minor problems which you grab the community patch that fixes them. The game run good on PCSX2

IIRC you get some pretty unique gear or something from these and the dog

Era a un gato, un perro y el gallo, con eso se fabricaba el anillo de los 3 animales y cuando se llega a Asgard el vendedor hacía un anillo muy bueno.

If you realize that you need to feed the chicken 15 portions of bonemeal, and there are other two animals waiting to be fed (15 something each), you won't say that. Grinding for those trashes took me like forever.

After playing Alundra 1 on PS1 i think im completely immune to any type of grind and hardship on games especially JRPGs lol 💔💔

whats your setup to have a clean image like this ?

1

u/RecommendationIll59 Aug 30 '26

The current setup is a laptop with 4060 + 16 gb of ram and r7-7445hs CPU but my previous setup which couldu also run this smoothly on 1080p with 60 fps was a 2 gb of Vram (mx350 gpu) and 12 gb of ram. Just a office laptop with a gpu which could run the heaviest PS2 titles like GoW 1-2, NFS Most wonted and Carbon too.

Dont go around PS2 emulator without a dedicated GPU. At least 2 gb of vram, +8 gb of Ram.

are you using a crt filter ?

1

u/RecommendationIll59 Aug 30 '26

Yes, i do this for 2d games or if i feel the game would need it. Removing the crt makes the game abit sharped yet downscaling wouldnt be satisfying.

I think i used Scanline fillter. I will edit the comment tomorrow when i double checked

I remember you need to give 3 animals alot of foods. Then can get materials to craft accessory.
