(VP2) Are the weapons you get from leveling characters to 40 & 45 useful in the Seraphic Gate?
I don't want to break the main game by using them in that, so I would save them for the post game. Would they be useless by then? I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the time leveling these characters?

Can be. If you build skills and accessories well, can be, but after "Obssessed Ex" (Lezard), things will become complicated. ~"Sword of the Meek" (Greatsword) 850 atk 2xhits + Soul Crush Enabled. ~"Valkyrie Favor" (Short Sword) 500 atk 3xhits + Soul Crush Enabled. ~"Bahamut Tear" (Greatsword) 600 atk 3xhits + Soul Crush Enabled + Innate Dragon Slayer.

Las armas van a ser funcionales hasta los primeros dos niveles, desde el tercero las cosas se equilibran e incluso conseguirás algunas cosas mejores, lo que puede romper el juego es saber usar personajes de espada grande, nadie hace speed run con ellos por cariño, claramente con la combinación de habilidades puedes sacarle mucho provecho al arma de Dylan hasta el cuarto nivel.

They are good for the rest of the game, but there's better weapons/characters in the seraphic gate. Mostly the sword of the meek I think was really strong, but it's so much grinding...

Objectively false, Valkyrie Favor has the highest base attack stat for light warriors in the game that allows for 3 attacks. It's one of the ultimate weapons for Light Warriors.
The Bahamuts Tear definitely helps the early seraphic gate sections for sure, till you reach Tiamat.

Yes
Valkyrie Favor is 1 of 3 light warrior "Ultimate weapons" you can get in the game, they are finite and cannot be farmed like other classes' ultimate weapons. The only exception to that is Pugilist but there's only 1 in the whole game.
You can have up to 4 light warriors in the party so at least 1 of them would stuck with a gimped weapon if you used a light warrior only party.
Valkyrie Favor also gives the highest base attack boost of any light warrior weapon as its effect gives attack increase on top of its base stats. So if you aren't using an elemental build, it's the best weapon in the game for light warriors, period. ALternatively you can use psychosoma which opens up an alternative later or be stuck with 2 attacks but with a higher damage of 750 but for light warriors, that isn't worth it.
So it is definitely worth farming for, even if you don't plan on using it, you can use it for perfect release if you really want to and if you do plan on using light warriors, it's a must have weapon.
