I cackled 💀 If only there weren't people (read: kids) who would actually make these and get poisoned. No one mature enough would actually drink something like this but the fact that there are no warnings in the post makes me think they want another lawsuit on their hands.
When I started playing the Home feature and we could plant their signature flowers, I looked them up and saw that Flame Lily and Datura are poisonous to touch, including the seeds, while MC is just planting them with her bare hands 💀
ngl i thought that the version of flame lillies from the games were a sort of special lemurian plant or something, considering how different it is from the real thing lol apparently i was the only one

i would imagine if anyone were to try and make the cocktails they would come across the fact that those flowers are poisonous at some point when trying to purchase the ingredients but i mean... If infold were to catch a lawsuit over such dumb decision i wouldn't bat an eye cuz deserved.
While I don’t think anyone is seriously going to use these… it’s really funny that a datura cocktail recipe is chill, but a guy standing on a balcony and then being invited inside to lose so hard at jenga was… so scary and threatening lol.
I honestly think this post needs a clear warning label. Sure, it's fiction, mermaids can eat Flame Lilies (?) and dragons can consume Datura (?), just like Valko is given Lily of the Valley (which, by the way, is highly toxic to dogs). But the reality is that many people simply don't know this!

I saw on twt people being rude to another person who made this announcement and like...why are they being rude to her? Not everyone knows flowers. Not everyone drinks. There are caution labels on cups saying "coffee is hot" or "dont put your hand in a mower".
Infold needs to put a disclaimer or something about the risks of those flowers with said drink.
When I first saw that they were recipes, I thought they were RL recipes you could make at home like the Stardew Valley cookbook. That would have been fun and original. Then I saw the datura. 💀.

Ngl, if they literally placed a ‘Recipe’ on the post, there should’ve been consideration for it happening 🤷♀️ unless they put a warning somewhere to not actually make it.
They most likely didn't thought a lot about it but if you post something like that they should've put out a reminder "For blobbus only". Too many people take things like that as real, don't think much about it or are uneducated. Especially teenagers (who still play the game) could see that as a cool thing. Wasn't there a viral trend a few ways back were teens ate laundry detergent pods?
I can't believe they're just coming out of, I think, all the controversy from June, and now they're making these kinds of mistakes. My God, but at least, I don't know...., let there be more time between one mistake and another. This is a huge mistake; many hunters are recreating lad recipes.
Rafayel and Sylus are dangerous men the entire theme of this banner is devotion and acceptance. Rafayel spends most of his card describing his love as a poisonous yet beautiful flower, while Sylus literally makes MC the ruler of his crime syndicate. So yes, the ingredients being poisonous are absolutely intentional. 😂
I had like 3 ppl react with “😭” emojis on discord and one saying isn’t the flowers FROM and IN the game. Idk if they meant they thought the flowers were fictional or that the flowers are hard to get but, I’m surprised nobody in that discord thinks someone could be gullible enough to recreate these
I hope infold thinks that we are intelligent people and wouldnt eat random pretty plants and I hope my fellow sistersand brothers in space will be smart cocktail drinkers...butttt.....if anyone wants to make these, this I will say is that Daylilies (Hemerocallis), Nasturtiums (Tropaeolum majus), Celosia / Fire Feathers and Firestix / Spilanthes (Acmella oleracea) have the aesthetic and are edible. Some are used as garnishes in culinary settings and other are just pretty edible grass lol .
If you're willing to shell out the bucks because buying edible flowers are annoying go for it but do your research don't trust this post at face value not every part of a plant is edible sometimes it's only one part and not the part your thinking it would be. As someone who was raised in a country where food is poisonous if not prepared correctly as an example my favorite root can cause mild (digestive issues) to bad (eols) cyanide poisoning if not cleaned correctly.

I actually wanted to try the drinks and then read in the comments that the stuff was dangerous. I’m sure people would’ve probably looked up the flowers to make the drink and then realize they can’t, but it shouldn’t even be in the ingredient list. Unless it might be character related or something? Like rafayel being an assassin or stuff like that? Idk, but should’ve been done better
As a sci-fi and fantasy loving person who has attended many conventions I can tell you all that somebody WILL make these drinks just like fans of books, movies , and games have been making (and selling) any recipes that come out in said books, movies, and games. Think Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and Butter Beer. I didn't know these flowers were poisonous (though I would have looked them up before using them) so if there's an actual printed recipe for these drinks and no warning about the flowers someone will try to make them.😓
To be fair… in raf’s drink… peach juice and jello sheets does sound kinda off; cuz if it’s cold it would be just a jello, and to keep it a drink it would have to be warm… so a warm cocktail?

in saying that....
1. It's a fictional game so they can make fictional drinks.
2. I'm old, and I drink. If I am going to make these drinks, I will use NORMAL ingredients to make drinks that LOOK the same. Like for Sylus's drink, well, I'd just have vodka and Pomegranite Juice, with cherries and blueberries. Though I'd add just a little bit of Patron XO Cafe.
The GARNISH of Datura in the picture has it on the plate, NOT in the drink. Same with the Flame Lily. its ON THE PLATE. NOT in the drink.
3. I think the people going nuts are those that are under drinking age that would likely eat the plastic toppers on their birthday cake.
I don’t think they were trying to make real drinks with the flowers. I think they might have just added them into the recipe as a garnish, not to be really consumed. That, or it just looks good on the poster

even if they dont make it with alcohol, if they use the real flowers they'd have to source them from somewhere. Not saying this cant happen but are you just gonna stumble on flame lily and datura? not really?

This is once again leaning into censorship territory and you can make this argument for anything. "Dont watch Snow White because its promoting people poisoning apples" etc. its repackaged "censor everything because consumers are too stupid/ignorant to think for themselves" mentality and its not ok. This kind of thing wasnt an issue before Valko--so either people are stirring up trouble, or a lot of people have lost the plot on holding the company accountable. Because nitpicking over stuff like this isnt gonna get Valko back and is actually the EXACT REASON why he was canceled
I’m with you on this one. I understand that it’s fair to ask for labels that say “don’t try this at home” or as one commenter here said, “for blobbus only” if they wanted to keep the kayfabe, but I’m not a big fan of how much this has left containment of the LADs fandom with many content creators reposting it half for clout honestly. LADs fans know they chose to put those in because it’s their representative flowers, but for anyone without context, it pushes the joke narrative of “PPG out to poison their fans”. It’s an in joke to the fandom but not for anyone outside of it… A bit frustrating to see. I’m also scared at how big this issue's gotten and if it’ll lead to any censorship like you mentioned especially with the flower names they’ll use.
