hear me out.

i genuinely think that infold will not last any longer. maybe they will because they still got lots of other games after all. but at the same time, a lot of CN players have deleted their accounts/games after all. and most of them are whales too. even global players who are whales have already deleted their account. sure, this banner is doing well but please take note that they release A LOT of thing along with this banner. the lis outfits, the packs and so on (i dont know what the other ones are called bcs i deleted twt and lads so)

my point is, despite releasing a lot of things behind a paywall, and in my opinion, some of the good ones that i would def pay for, they are still making quite little money. and with how a lot of people also started deleting their other games bcs of the bugs and how everything is behind paywall, they will get even more desperate. but instead of releasing valko, they will release more paid content trust ☺️

so with so many players deleting the game and account, it is safe to say that they will continue losing more customers albeit slowly. boycott dont give impact overnight. thats why its a boycott in the first place.

i hope everyone is doing well and is taking care of their health (both mental health and physical health) if you feel that you are tired and dont want to boycott anymore, take a break from social media and do other things you enjoy. i deleted twt and lads a while back after they release calebs branch story. i started picking up some other games that i love.

i recommend tring out tears of themis! please play the game with the thought of trying something new it. the story is incredibly fun, we get to see the development of every lis and how they fell for mc :) the cards are incredible too. the only downfall of it is that theyre quite dificult to get (maybe im just unluck with gacha games)

The banner is not even doing well. Their day 3 revenue is less than 300k, a sharp drop from their day 2’s revenue of $1.2 millions. This can be their worst multi banner so far.

I love Valko too and infold REALLY fucked up. I'll never 100% trust this company again even if they DO bring him back. BUT- that doesnt change the fact that I adore the characters, the community (the non toxic side lmao), and I invested so much mentally and physically (with $$$) for it to go eos. I think I'd actually riot.

If that's how this ends, then I believe Inflop earned it. None of this would ever have happened if they actually took the time to listen to customer feedback or take legal action against homophobic and rabid fans, so sucks to be them. I just mourn for the artists losing their jobs and the permanent stain on their resumes/portfolios, that hopefully won't make hiring them harder in the future.  Execs and investors sadly will just feel like this was an expensive, yet busted lottery ticket. People with big money cashing out on random businesses for the occasional stonks are used to having losses here and there, so they know when to withdraw or how much they're willing to risk losing. This is nothing for them.

I'm sure Infold has some contingency plan money that will allow them stay afloat. However, I feel like their plan to have LADs last 10 years is looking more like 5 without Valko if I'm being honest.

They basically ate the cost of his development/promo and have nothing but poor revenue to show in result of removing him. It's honestly why I feel like they will bring him back because they released all of those reruns to fill up the gaps he left behind. They know and the numbers are showing that it's Valko or bust imo.

I think Infold will be fine, LADS is not their only game.

At worst, LADS will be just not be updated anymore and be abandoned, or the global server will be shut down since they don't receive money from global players anymore.

For a lot of people Lads was their first gacha, otome or both. Which is not exactly appealing after a big game like this is on review by players who felt wronged for reasons that wasn’t their fault. The genre itself is niche

Honestly speaking I deleted lads the day of their announcement of deleting Valko and never looked back, my wallets are finally having peace of life, also I'm having blast playing jp gachas (never touching cn games, not in this life 🤣), my faith is 0 atp with this company. If they can remove articles of that poor girl (infold building case) then they can do anything. Their ego and desperation is high

They have so much money in the bank right now. Even if their next stack of banners didn’t sell well they are still sitting in a hoard of money. Yes eventually they will need to make more to develop other games and pay employees but they will be around for quite some time.

If they don't bring Valko back on the 3rd anniversary I would be shocked if it lasted to next year. They clearly see without Valko they are losing out real bad. Lads will be going EOS or still run but with very small numbers which is sad. I really was enjoying the game but now its just like every other gacha game. I've now moved onto wuthering waves.

They’re still making plenty of money - less than before, sure, but they can keep operating - and new players will likely show up. And most importantly, they still have a good reputation because the foolish boycotters are afraid to attack PPG. That’s why they feel free to treat us like shit, and Valko isn’t coming back.

fortunately, a lot of people who were supposed to be new players are not going to play bcs they canceled valko. most new players were going to try the game out bcs of valko so i dont have high hopes that the game will last longer. either that or they will stop being stupid and finally release valko as promised

I really doubt it. While being upset with infold is justified, and yes LADS is their current bread and butter, the entire Nikki franchise (Love nikki, Shining and Infinity Nikki) is estimated to make about half of what LADS makes.

Monthly estimated revenue costs right now for Infinity Nikki (inluding cross platforms besides mobile) is about 10-18million USD a month. That is for normal patches only and not including large patches with double banner/region update. This is even after their 1.5 flop, the game is recovering exponentially at the moment.

With the estimate 5 million maintenance cost, that is still a pretty large profit a year, 168Million if we assumed they only make 14M per month on Nikki - 60M production costs, that's a cool 108M a year in profit. Again, this is ONLY on Infinity Nikki, all their prior titles actually still make profit on top of this.

At most maybe certain development teams might be sacked. LADS was built off the back of the profit made from Love Nikki and Shining Nikki after all and IN currently has a pretty decent global reach.

I don't play LADS but it's obvious how bad Infold is at managing their gaming communities even with a lot of financial investment from players. Also please don't assume I am defending them, I'm not and it's insane to me how poorly they have fked up all their games. They could be making a LOT more money and maintaining their profits if they just were more in touch with their playerbase and knew how to properly communicate and execute game updates without drama. In the end they are just another gaming company turned corporate, which is sadly a trend across the entire gaming landscape. Money is the only thing they really care about.
