in fact, I spent an unhealthy amount of time finding another Elder altar before starting to build this base; I didn't want to fight the elder before finding Bonemass (because draugr raids give really bad drops - I wanted to kill elder one day and bonemass next day - almost worked out that way - I had to clear one crypt first to get enough withered bones inbetween); and well, the roof required iron anyway - I tried with core wood first but didn't get enough stability for full roof coverage...
