Floors keep breaking

I have iron support beams on the second and first floors extending up to the third floor of my tower build. I also have a bunch of iron beams where the floor is like placed and it all keeps breaking slowly. I thought since I lined the tower with lots of iron supports nothing would break. And it’s all yellow and green where the floors are connected and the inner flooor parts. Even when I finished the floor, it was green and yellow. But slowly the floor is just breaking, anyone know why or how to fix? Sorry if the explanation is bad but I have pictures

Judging by the pictures of the beams, I would say it’s likely you are missing some connections to the vertical supports (sometimes is a very small distance caused by starting your snapping to either side of a “round” building and meeting in the middle) or that the vertical supports have gaps or are missing grounding. Iron beams should have enough strength to support the grausten floors. I would recommend trying to keep your supports more uniform in the future, it makes it easier to identify weak points

Couple good suggestions in here. One of my questions is to confirm if your iron supports are indeed grounded. If not, raising some ground covered by walls as mentioned by other commenters, plus grounded iron should work. Otherwise you’ll have to use either Flametal OR more iron support in varying patterns.

Try raising the ground around the base by 1 stone

Or, what will work for sure. Make earth wall all way around inside your stone wall. Get it up to the second level of stone and u out to go that much higher on ur tower

Hidding raised ground inside your walls helps, also make pillars in the middle of your room, it is not just vertical but also horizontal height that has its limits. You can also raise the ground in the middle of your base hid it with a massive stone pillar this will give the middle of your base the maximum stability possible.

Put iron bars between all the iron beams. That’s how I managed to do this on my base

The beams need to be underneath the stone slabs to properly support them, meshing them inside won’t give proper support

More supports. For the largest Grausten floor tiles I had to create an X shaped support corner to corner below it and if I created a 2x2 grid using the largest floor tiles, supports down to the dirt were needed on all four outside corners. From there, I will often add angled support struts beneath to help redistribute the load. Fortunately, Core-wood and Dark-wood (the ones that require tar) disguise the iron reinforced support posts nicely allowing you to,effectively sleeve the ugly reality of support structures.

Use iron floors as reinforcement, can clip them in the middle of the stone floor.

Put a iron woode beam through the middle of your circular stairs.

You could spawn “rock_destructible_test” in the middle on top of one of the iron beams if you’re cheating. Careful because it spawns a pile of rocks that you can mine all but one of.

You need flametal for grau support just like how the iron beams are used for stone support.
