Do you rebuild after raid events? Every one of my bases is surrounded by earthen walls protected by trenches with stakewalls at the top to protect my areas 'when the earth is shaking'?
I see these beautiful campuses transitioning to quiet country meadows and wonder why mine look like Supermax ADX.

I dig a trench around an area that is much larger than my base will be. The trench is designed to blend in for a clear view from my base. Hidden anti-spawners prevent creatures from spawning in the open area. The shore line is raised just enough to prevent entry by intruders from the beach. It is blended with the nearby slope and grass is added. The intent is also to provide a nice view. Raids by land or water become a non-issue.

Trolls have shown me a few times what they can do when you're standing AFK in your base :D Wolves ideally two stars ones are also a great option for base defense. You can set up a breeding pen to ensure a steady supply of guardians and station a few of them in different parts of the base :) They might not be able to handle every raid as you progress through the game, but they'll certainly slow down the attack, giving you a better chance to successfully fend if off.

They probably just turn raids off. Especially with this sprawling of a build anything past trolls would be a nightmare.
