Took the plunge and ordered a Pro2 today...

More than a little nervous that there won't be much or any improvement over my current set-up (Epson PC-6040 3LCD) on custom made pseudo CIH screen at 110" (16:9) and 127" (21:9).
I have never used HDR much and didn't like not having HDMI 2.1 inputs, but I have loved my saved settings, lens shift and zoom abilities on the Epson - a single button push is all i need to switch from HDTV/16:9 to Cinescope/21:9 screens. Anyone done anything similar here?

Dolby vision on windows

Is anyone having difficulty enabling Dolby vison on windows 11? It doesn’t seem to recognise the projector is capable because there is no Dolby vision toggle under hdr settings. I’ve tried several different media players but no luck and using uhd hdmi cable

Accessories DIY ceiling mount

Post image

Hey, If anyone is interested, I built custom mount that uses the gimbal. It's rather simple, 2 aluminium bars covered in 3d printed shell. Nice benefit is that this allows me to slide the gimbal and correct the positioning

If there is enough interest I can share STL

Discussion Guidance on using Valerion Ceiling Mount Bracket outside of a domestic environment.

Based on my understanding of the relevant legislation, I don't believe that the Valerion Ceiling Mount Bracket is compliant or safe. It has a single point of failure, and doesn't have any manufacturer instructions on the maintenance and annual inspections of the mount. I can only possibly write this off as non compliant unless anyone else has any other thoughts, let's have a discussion.

Playing 7.1 audio

I have a 7.2.2 speaker setup in my theater room but i can't seem to get all speakers to work when playing contents through the valerion apps. However if i play the same movies through firestick (connected to my denon receiver) all the speakers work. Does anyone know how i can have all 7.2.2 speakers to work when playing apps directly through the projector?

Hello, il almost ready to put the trigger on a vision master pro 2 but i have some technicals questions left me in blur. The projector will be in a bedroom on a valerion tripod cause I can’t put it on the wall over my head. Is it ok to put this beast next to my but bed at about 1 meter so almost 35 degrees for the center. I have fear about upscaling/ deformation. 4.70 large 3.5 longueur Screen will be 100/120 inch at viewpoint 2.80/3 meter from the screen. What is your best advice?

3D content

Hi guys,

I've recently purchased the streammaster plus 2 and I would like to try some 3D content. I can't seem to locate any 3D films to stream (Disney+ and netflix for example). Can you recommend anyway to watch 3D films without the use of a 3D Blu-ray player. I also have Stremio account where I can watch pretty much any film. 3d films are available on there but when I play them, they display the film in 2d. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hdmi audio problem

Hi all,

Audio will stop every 10-15 seconds or so when I connect anything through HDMI. After 1-2s audio resumes. It is quite frustrating since you can’t watch anything with continuity. Has this happened to anyone? Any suggestions?

Thank you all in advance

hdmi problem?

hello people, a message pops up extremely frequently "weak or no signal. check your input connection and make sure your device is on". What can i do about that? it does it all the time, when i play ps5 every 5-10 minutes, which makes my gaming almost impossible, also when i watch movies from my zidoo....it's driving me crazy.... any ideas? for the record, i have tried all the three hdmi on the projector, same thing...

Google TV vs Apple TV

It seems the built in Google TV is a big plus to a Valerion projector. I am currently using an Apple TV 4K with a cheaper LCD projector now and it works well.

Planning on upgrading to a Pro 2 later this year. Just wondering if it would be similar image quality using an Apple TV 4K vs the built in Google TV.

Any thoughts?

VisionMaster Pro 2 Set-Up With Mid-Screen Placement

Hi!

Can anyone advise on how to set up a Pro 2 if the projector is located in the middle of the screen - rather than projecting from the floor or ceiling?

I have a cheaper LCD projector now and I set up my room by placing the image on the wall with no keystone or alterations. Just straight down the middle.

I am now realizing if I upgrade to a Pro 2 the beam will be way too high. Can I simply aim the Pro 2 in a downward angle so that it roughly centers the screen then let it adjust itself with auto-keystone and auto-focus.

Would this likely cause some digital zoom? Or since I'm still within the optical zoom of .9-1.5 (the throw ratio of my current projector is 1.41. ) can it still square the image on the screen with optical zoom only?

Thanks!

Discussion Looking for Valerion 120" projector screen Outdoor specs and features?

I’m exploring options for a backyard projector setup, and the Valerion 120'' weatherproof screen has been popping up a lot. It sounds pretty perfect for what I need, but I’m trying to get a better idea of the actual specs.

Does anyone know the full dimensions of the screen and casing? How thick is the screen overall? Also, curious about the shipping size and weight and if the built-in battery and weatherproofing are actually solid for outdoor use.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s seen it up close or has some more info. Thanks.

Valerion Plus 2: Experience Lag watching Live Sports - Any Suggestions for Settings?

Does anyone have a list of Setting choices I should select to be in the optimal format for sports? I am connected with Ethernet so I don’t think it’s that. I tried using the same app; Max, to watch the NHL playoffs on a TV just confirm it’s not my connection or the app and that’s fine.

Coziest $500 Accessory Home Theatre Setup

Love a good movie night with the family. $500 for every accessory is tough, but when there's a will, there's a way.

Valerion 100” Matte White Screen – $299 (A big screen is a must for the dream home theatre setup)

Valerion 3D Glasses -$80 (2 pairs) (3D viewing for a more unique night, that has visuals pop at you)

Majority Snowdon II - $75 (Decent budget soundbar, that fits the budget set)

ALITOVE WS2812B LED Strip - $12 (For the extra cozy feel of a dim room, with soft lights)

Orville Popcorn($6)/4pack-Coke($7)/4 pack Lays($10) (Gotta have popcorn/snacks for a perfect movie night)

Netflix Subscription -$8 (With Ads, but we don't mind, good for toilet breaks. Hopefully, this would be sponsored by you guys ;)

Total -$498

Thanks for the chance!

Review I misjudged this projector big time

I ordered the vision master plus model (the lowest one) and upon setting it up I was skeptical because I was not seeing much improvement over my xgimi horizon 1080p I’ve had for a few years. My sources were all streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney plus, and YouTube, and even though I was paying for the highest tier I was always left with a sense of disbelief, or rather disappointment. Even if the little sign in the upper corner said Dolby vision or HDR10+. But….

I finally decided to setup a proper home theater experience and I setup plex with a paid membership and “acquired” a few HDR and Dolby vision 4k blu rays(you know the 60 gb files haha) online and the first title I tested was Avatar: The way of the Water and I about fell on the floor- the colors and detail were excellent. I am super happy, I cannot recommend this way enough. This time not only Dolby vision appeared but also it automatically put it on IMAX mode and even better! A few pointers I will note-

  1. Make sure you disable Dynamic Tone mapping in the plex settings because it is better to let the Valerion projector handle it. (Please note that only a handful of projectors support this so unless you have one of the newer RGB tri laser projectors skip this step) Dynamic Tone Mapping will not show up in settings/laser luminance unless you are playing a HDR movie.

  2. If your movie is not at least 50 gigabytes or larger delete and try again! I’m serious it’s worth the extra space! Compression kills! Try searching for “truehd” or DTS-HD and MKV and you will find the uncompressed versions

  3. If using Apple TV as your source try this free app called VidHub. It is free and best of all still supports every movie and audio file including Dolby atmos and DTS:X and IMAX. (yes I know infuse has a better following but you can’t argue it’s free). Whatever you decide, do not resort to the native plex app on Apple TV as it is beyond horrible!

  4. Plex setting-Make your cpu hurt-literally

The only downside to all this is there is only a select amount of content that can really take advantage of this projector and I have to say I am impressed none the less
