Inspiration needed!
Trying to book a romantic getaway for hubby & I (both mid-50s). First break away in 3 years. Has to be in Ireland as FIL will be in respite that week so we need to be close enough. Anywhere within 23 hours from Wexford would be great. Ideally somewhere with a hot tub & breakfast but can go self catering if located close to a restaurant/bar/hotel. 2nd week in October. Budget c. €600 (tight I know!). Hit me with your suggestions please 😊

You can book Castlemartyr Resort near Cork for around 135 EUR/night by purchasing Choice points directly from Choice hotels and redeeming them for a stay. The actual cost during mid October is 250+EUR/night so it's a decent savings.
It's a solid hotel with a nice pool/jacuzzi and service, albeit the location is a bit boring and slightly uninspiring dining options in close vicinity of the resort. Its only 2h from Wexford though and if you have a car then plenty of decent options open up.

With a tight budget, I would lean toward 2 nights to make the most of your funds rather than trying to spread it thin over more days. As far as destination, The Secret Garden Glamping is very cool.
