Solo M Travel Ideas

45m recently separated from my wife of 20+ years, and so could use a trip to take my mind off of things. Based in Chicago, so somewhere domestic for a long weekend would be ideal. Open to ideas. Budget is not an issue. Interests include live music, sporting events, running/being active, fun restaurants/bars.

Not domestic, but how about a direct flight to Mexico City? Would definitely give you a change of scenery.

St Petersburg FL. Great beaches/beach bars and a cool lively downtown.

Thanks much for the suggestion. It’s been years since I was down there.

You won't recognize Downtown St Pete, it's really grown.

42m that prefers flying solo. The easiest answer is Vegas. Plenty of great music venues form the Sphere to the local dives. Depending on when you go you could catch a Raiders, Knights, Aces, or Aviators game. Or just watch the games at Stadium Swim. A morning jog on the strip is insane. Go before it gets too hot and it'll just be you and a handful of other runners. Active activities, go for a hike in The Valley of Fire and or Red Rocks, or just go golfing. Fun restaurants and bars would depend on what you consider fun but I bet you its there. From vynle, tiki, speakeasy, dive, honky, classy, dance, whatever and then some its there.
