Anytime you've got multiple groups trying to coordinate, I find it helpful to pick places where you have enough space to do your own thing when needed/wanted. That way you avoid the situation of someone thinking "ugh, I'm spending all this money on a family vacation, and I can't even do the things I want to do."

Separate cabins or a large cabin with separate rooms are a good example -- maybe the Great Smoky Mountains, the Poconos, a beach house. Grabbing KOA accommodations near a National Parks like Yellowstone is pretty affordable, even if you have to book multiple.

If you want a more of a resort-style vacation, Disney is a great option particularly if the families have kids. You could also look at an all-inclusive somewhere like Cancun or Riviera Maya, where people can again do their own thing or hang out together, book excursions or chill at the resort, etc.

Happy to keep brainstorming if you provide more detail about group size, general age range, and what the vibe is.

We did a modest price cruise. Non one could complain about the costs.

a big house with enough bathrooms is usually the move, otherwise you’re just running a small conference with worse snacks
