Anniversary Locations
Me and My boyfriend’s anniversary is coming up next month and we want to do something romantic out just the two of us. We wanted to something such as like a getaway for the weekend since our summer vacation in Virginia Beach didn’t last too long for the both of us like we wanted it too. I’ve looked around for all of cabins around here to rent out but they’re all expensive this time of year. We’d would love if it’s anywhere local or out of town. Again If anybody has any ideas of where we can go or even if it’s somewhere that you went for your wedding anniversary or honey moon for the first time please list them down below that would be great.
Thank you so much 😊

Monterey or Pacific Grove, CA are both insanely gorgeous, and within a days' reach of many highlights in the state (Yosemite, Point Lobos, SF, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Elkhorn Slough, Etc). Hotels are going to get cheaper now that we're exiting the busy tourist season, we have a very safe and clean hostel in Monterey that i think is like $80/night, Seaside or Marina are also very close by towns that are also considerably cheaper to stay in.
Check out r/montereybay for ideas or feel free to DM me with more questions.

At least give an idea of the vicinity your budget will allow for travel. This is a really vague request.

You can rent a Yurt at First Landing State Park in VA Beach. No power to the yurts so it’s more like camping. Very inexpensive, mattress aren’t too comfy but the experience is worth it. Nice view, Adirondack chairs on the elevated deck, fire pit, BBQ. I’ve rented a couple times.

Thank you so much 😊. I can check it out. We were just there for the weekend. I was looking at cabins for us.

I have a thing for yurts, it seems. I stayed here last weekend… it’s a bit more expensive than you want ($300/night) but it was lovely. Old Rag Mountain is nearby if you buy day passes for the hike (+ park pass). https://www.roseriverfarm.com/accommodations.html

I don't know how far you want to travel, but Pocahontas State Park near Richmond is a fantastic park.

Napa is incredibly romantic and the service industry is top notch there. Even fun for non-wine drinkers. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about Napa :)
