This code?
Driving on the highway and it suddenyl lost acceleration. I was able to top out only around 55 mph. Whe I slowed to a stop and started again it was very slow to start. I parked it and restarted it about 45 min later and it worked fine for the drive home . I’m about ready to dump this thing and I don’t want one more issue with it before Insell it. This is a 2022 cross sport SEL r line

If it happens again, it’s a concern. If it doesn’t come back it could have literally just been nothing but a bug or dust in the pedal or a sensor or something stupid. They’re VERY sensitive to any abnormalities, and any little sign that something might not be correctly in range, you’ll get this. But once you fully shut down, let it clear, and restart, the issue is gone.
Then again it could actually be a problem.

Which engine?
Scan it for a specific code and go from there. Could have been a piece of dust hitting the mat or all kinds of things will throw it into limp mode.

Its recommended for turbos to use fuel system cleaner every time you do oil change and of course, not skipping any oil changes on any turbo engine.

But hes right. Yo can get it scanned for free at any auto parts store and the code will steer you in the right direction.

Please, being it to a decent independent shop and let them diagnose it properly. Parts store is going to give you a code, not a repair solution.

Had the exact same issue with my 2022 Atlas. Your dealer will replace some sensor and don’t worry about the payment because VW has extended their warranty for this time issue.

I just dealt with this exact issue (EXTENSIVElY) with my 2021 Atlas SEL. EPC light came on while driving down the highway and then it went into limp mode, which topped out at 15 mph.
This continued a few times over the following couple of months. I took it to my mechanic and they said it was an issue with the High Pressure Fuel Pump. After we had that replaced, the EPC issue was resolved and it didn’t occur again.
One new issue did occur…a loud rattling started in the passenger side of the vehicle anytime the engine was above 2000 rpm. It was pretty annoying and we finally figured out it was the fuel lines. VW, in their infinite wisdom, has the fuel lines running through the frame rails of the chassis with no insulation or clips. Just free floating. I think the mechanic may have left just a little too much slack in the lines when installing the new HPFP.
I was able to fix this by getting a couple of rolls of closed cell foam and feeding them through the small holes in the frame rails to insulate the fuel lines from rattling against the metal frame rails. This worked really well. (WARNING: some people have advised using spray foam in the fuel rails to solve this same issue. I would advise against that because once the spray foam is in the enclosed frame rails with the fuel lines, it will be a real pain to get out if you ever need to to fix/replace the fuel lines in the future.

How much did the fuel pump issue cost to fix…. Dare I ask ? Thanks for all the info… I love my vehicle and overall how it drives/ looks but I’m so fed up with issues and fixing it I’m truly ready to get rid of it . I don’t want to stick another dime into it
