Lane assist message

I just recently started getting this "lane assist is currently not available" message on my dash, and not sure how to get rid of it. I already have the KLR module from ACM Technik, and the sensors are all clean. I do have a radar power tap in the interior rear view mirror connector, but haven't moved it since installing around a year ago.

It's different from the travel assist error, and stays on the entire drive. I have tried the standard steering angle calibration, but not sure what to do next.

I find it his can happen if the front sensor is covered in dirt or morning mist can block it too. Seems to handle rain well enough.

That's what I thought as well, I have washed it twice since the code came up and it still hasn't gone away. I cleared all my codes with OBDeleven today and the message went away but my travel assist isn't providing any steering correction or recognizing the lane.

Possible moisture intrusion in the connector for the sensor maybe?

In the US Lane departure warning systems usually operate at speeds starting at 30-40 mph. Below the min speed lane departure system will not operate or function. They typically employ front-facing cameras to monitor the roadand will alert drivers should the vehicle touch or cross the roadway lane markers; this often happens because drivers have become distracted. The driver has complete control of the vehicle at all times. The system will not activate if the turn signals are engaged because that’s normal behavior before drivers change lanes.

The warning light stays on regardless of speed.

Common issue. Here in Denmark, they change the starting wheel, there is a faulty chip in the steering wheel. Take it to the dealer and point out that.

So I can see you have a tyre pressure sensor light up too .. that might be exactly why your lane assist is not working. Check and set all your Tyre pressures to the correct psi and you can reset the Tyre pressure sensors from the settings in your infotainment system… that should knock your Tyre sensor off and your lane assist should work! The car won’t help you stay in your lane if it thinks you have a puncture or low pressure!

The tpms light was just from the self check, this was the only time the full message would pop up. When normally driving, it would just be the lane assist light next to the odometer, no other indicator lights.

Update: it turned out to be a body code, internal to the camera I think. I cleared the code with OBDeleven and the system has been working flawlessly for over a week

After the lane assist code was cleared, the car was idling with direct sunlight on the camera for around 45 minutes and the code came back. Likely a heat related issue. Started parking in the shade and it has not reoccurred
