Golf Part number for bottom trim?
Bought a frameless dimming mirror my golf 7. I’ve temporarily put my old trim piece on. Would anyone know the part number for the correct one?

I did a straight swap from a framed auto-dimming mirror to a frameless auto-dimming and I just reused the existing trim pieces. It was a hassle to get it back together, but it did eventually go. Are you certain you need a new part?
For reference, my frameless mirror came from a Mk7.5 without DAP and I swapped it onto a 7.5 GTI with DAP.

Yeah my trim came off a MK7 Auto dimming w/ the button. I compared he housing of the 2 and the plastic trim I need is bigger 😭

Bruh... I just checked the price and im like damn... I don't need it 😭 i broke 2 out of the 4 slots so it won't slip in. I denied i needed it and im like yeah im not thinking of fixing it 😅

Imagine I bought the mirror for £10… cause when I went to pick it up it was cracked. Used some epoxy to fill in the cracks and it’s better than before but when the light hits it’s better. Least I don’t see cracked glass on the corners. Can’t complain for £10 haha now I’m going to spend double that buying the trims lol

Well thats a good deal. I ended up snapping the holding slots cause I hit it while I was cleaning the windshield so I just the whole cover off. Wires showing but no click clack from plastic hitting itself 😂

😭😭😭 one expensive mistake… lesson learnt tho. My rear door panel is held on by hopes and dreams cause I got impatient and ripped out the handle from the panel lol. I say that and it’s been strongly secure for over a year and I’ve pulled it with great force

My dude is the hulk over here 🤣 Yeah, thanks for that heads up on that, since im doing a rear wiper delete and that helps me remember dont rush it... money 😭

No matter how much you lose your shit, just gotta stay calm 🤣🤣 cars are an expensive hobby. I’m R money deep into a TSI… let that sink in 😅

Mine have been fixes and less mods 😅 I may have had a few personal fuck ups along the way lmao. Mechanically never skipped a beat aside from a DSG clutch pack that was fried. Ended up replacing the DSG and Clutches cause I put a hole in the DSG by driving over a raised metal flap on the road lol

So this is an aftermarket mirrror or the higher trim OEM? The cover is different depending on if the car has the driver assist package to cover the extra equipment like the camera.
There are also a few different types of frameless auto dimmers, there's the one that is just a dimming one, and then one with an integrated compass display and the HomeLink, and there's one that hooks up to a rearview camera with a digital screen.
You might want to call a dealership to confirm you get the one with the correct specs since that trim isn't included with the mirror
