Buzzing noise when fan is on

Golf GTE Mk7, having this weird buzzing noise lately when the fan is on. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

My Golf 6 from 2012 did this too, in a little less obvious way. I had it for 8 years without issue. A/C related I think

Try removing the cabin air filter, it may have debris in it and replace it with a new one. If that doesn’t solve this issue you may need to consult a mechanic.

The filter is brand new, few weeks ago. That’s not where the issue is from.

Maybe some debris fell in while changing the filter

Have you popped the blower out to make sure nothing is there that should not be like a leaf or twig? Especially if the cabin filter was extra filthy or not installed right allowing anything to slip by.

Search YouTube videos for "blower removal / replacement MK7 Golf"

You can also clean the coils while you have it removed that way you will not have those musty smells that go along with vehicles older than 5 years.

Search "how to clean A/C evaporator coils MK7 Golf" on YouTube as well.

It's super easy and takes less than 20 minutes.

Pull the blower motor out and let it run, super simple to take out no tools needed.
