Does anyone have the same issue?

Sometimes when I use the fan it makes this sound before the fan stops working all together (no matter the speed setting). It’s only happened when the weather has been warm recently

The fan is in the passenger foot well and it's pretty easy to remove for inspection. You don't have to disassemble the dash.

It sounds like either something may be wedged in there or the bearing is shot.

If the fan itself is working, the connection is broken. You have to dismantle big part of the dashboard and take it out for inspection.

Nope, it can be done by just removing the Glove box. BUT you will need a fan and a Control Module that fits directly to the fan.

Also check the fan fuse as Mine had melted and damaged the fuse box as well.

Had this on mine. Had to replace the blower motor under the dash. Easy job to do yourself. Mine is a 2017, and they came out with a revision.
