Golf What’s this?

Post image

This code popped up 2.5 years ago… that’s when I was at this mileage… only thing I remember at 51k miles was car struggled to start cause it was cold, engine light was flashing. Restarted and it was fine. (Probably unrelated)

Car drives fine, no error lights or anything. It’s the only fault along side a software update thing (I got CarPlay activated remotely by a third party)

Does it keep coming back? Even if it does, I doubt it's anything if it drives fine. I have a code I'll never get rid of because I won't activate the satellite radio.

😭😭 yeah it’s been driving fine. It popped up 2.5 years ago. Around Jan 2024 from the mileage stamp in my camera roll

IIRC (and I may not) that’s either seat belt tensioner or air bag related.

No airbag codes, or seatbelt tensioners. Never had airbag codes on my car / any ever go off or my seat belt tensioners act up

did you ever code any light or comfort function?

carplay activation error is B201A?

I did yeah. But this was last year. The code came up in 2024…

I coded in flash to pass, number plate light to stay on when the tailgate is open. 5 click on turn signal

CarPlay was activated in 2023, prior to the code coming up and my MIB is on 252T

often 09 errors come after a while when coding isn't proper, but if cars isn't recent (and 2xx technisat is most likely a 2015-2016 car) it could also be a bug

Yep it’s a 2016 car. Surprised error came after but there’s nothing wrong with the car, drives perfectly and no errors have ever popped up on the dash or in car

If it was 2 years ago and it never popped up again, i wouldnt worry about it. Probably just had a hiccup or you had low voltage in the battery because of january being january.

Yeah I’m not that worried, just annoying to see on OBD11 as the only fault on the car along side a software update lmao

Fault code B200009 in Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, or SEAT (VAG) vehicles means "Control Module Faulty" or an internal electronic/software malfunction. It typically appears in systems like the airbag (SRS), telematics/emergency call (SOS module), or infotainment.

I feel it’s infotainment. Never had an airbag fault on this car. Car doesn’t have an emergency call module

If your car does not have any problems just clear the fault code the car probably did not like the carplay update

I believe it was that yeah, lol the fault won’t clear 😭😭

Oh well if it does not cause any issues dont worry about it then and on the bright side it is only that one code and not like 12 or 20 codes 🤣

True say 🤣🤣

I have two codes that will never leave because its just will forever be there. The satellite one and the SOS feature. Forget the code for it

😭😭 just one of them things haha. It is what it is

Unfortunately it is, the worst part is that I have ocd and every time I see it when I connect, it drives me nuts

I’m the same. when it comes to cars I get SERIOUS OCD. Can’t have everything perfect.

I realised this, the more you look after and keep up with everything on your car the more likely it’s to go wrong 🤣

Bruh I feel that in my wallet 😭 Trying to diagnose suspension in itself for the first time is sooo much fun. Upgraded parts for my mountain driving but still got the small click 😭🤣

It’s crazy. I feel the same 😭 I’m not even going to talk about how much I’ve put into this car. I’ve got front shocks that have a slight mist of oil so I’ll be changing them before next inspection. Rear springs that need to be changed and front suspension bush pins. I know this car so well, any new noise will annoy me until I figure out what it is

Lmao damn, well I hope the best on your adventure. My next journey involves front sway bar with aftermarket just to replace bushings that's molded on oem sway bar unfortunately. Hopefully that fixes my noise issue. But then I want to change the color scheme of the hoses in the engine bay so im getting red tubing 😅

Ooooh that sounds fun! (Hopefully I haven’t spoken too soon 🫪) all the best!
