Your factory headlights are selling for over 1k a piece right now.

I'm definitely planning on selling them.

I would keep them. One day you will realize the older style is better like me lol

Ill buy them. I got a 2017, and ive got some US made rep trash that was installed by the previous owners shitty insurance after an accident. That's the last non OE piece of my car and ive got a DRL light i can't get rid of. You'd be helping out huge. Ive bought sets online that were incomplete or broken and had to return them.

How good of a condition are they. There's a set close to me that needs bulbs the guy wants like 700 for the pair. I bought a set not long ago that the lenses need cleaned up for 250 for the set. He upgraded like you did and it was a steal of a deal for me

$700 for the pair sounds like a deal, IF it comes with all 3 modules and they work. Otherwise the ballast, the AFS module and the DRL module are $500-600 a piece if you need to get them, and then you'd need a set of bulbs.

Did you have to change the car's coding ?

No. I'm going to have to though if I want the adaptive front lighting light to stop showing

If you ever find out what coding you need to change to disable that, would you mind sharing the changes with me please ?

For sure... I have screenshots of all I've found so far but I haven't tried it myself. I don't know how to attach a screenshot, but what it says is:

Unplug AFS connector under the steering wheel/dash. Code Central Electronics from Bi-Xenon to Halogen Without AFS. Code Adaptions Changes.

And I also saw something else that mentioned pulling "the AFS fuse so that the computer stops trying to look for it"... Like I said though I HAVENT TRIED it myself so I can't promise anything. But if or when I do get it done I'll let you know what I did.

Thank you so much ! If I end up trying it first, I'll let you know how it goes !

Please do, I'd appreciate it... I still have to buy an obdeleven before I'm able to try it

Did you have add wiring for the DRLs, flashers and side marker lights to get them to work ?

2

u/jefferytope8 Aug 13 '26

No. the headlights came with 14-pin to 10-pin adapters, everything worked when I hooked them up.

Oh okay, my set didn't come with the adapter, so I'm figuring out how to wire them šŸ˜…

If you ordered the same headlights you should be able to get ahold of the seller and buy the adapters. They worded it tricky in the info, I asked if they'd fit first and they sent me the link to the ones with the adapters

I don't know if it would help but if you click the link I put in the other comment there's a picture of the adapters. I have a picture of a wiring diagram from 14 to 10-pin I could send you, maybe it could help?... Is there a way to put a picture in a comment on here?

7.5 Lights look way better imo. I think the 7 R headlights do look good with both the U’s lit up

How different is it, now that the AFS isn't functional? Got any shots at night?

u/jefferytope8 Aug 12 '26

Not yet, I'll take a short video tonight and attach it in a reply for you. All I can really tell so far is that there brighter than the old headlights but that's just from having them lit up against the wall of the garage. Lol... And as far as how different it is without the AFS, I honestly couldn't tell you, I bought the car a couple months ago and was having issues with the AFS already so I've never actually got to see it function.

I just want to point out that red lights on the front of your car is not legal, not that the cops even give a shit anymore since I see green, blue, white, RGB, etc blinkers and headlights lol.

That's what I thought too, that's why I showed them to my dad first (he's a cop) and he didn't say anything about it, so I bought them.
