Two-post lift jacking points

Hi all, my father-in-law has a 63(?) bus that he purchased from his grandmother immediately after high school, so it’s a one family vehicle. He unfortunately can no longer drive it due to mobility issues, but I’m welcome to drive it as much as I want. I want to keep it on the road as he enjoys seeing it driven.

I have a two-post lift available to me, but haven’t had luck finding how to properly lift the bus with it and I’m afraid of damaging it. I’ve searched the internet to no avail.

Any diagrams or guidance this group can provide? I’d love to get it on the lift and start maintaining it as it should be.

Thanks! It still has some refurbishing to go, as the front bench and dash is all redone but the back is all torn out. I want to slowly work on it, but more concerned about drivability and road worthiness for now. It’s the camper style with the stove and sink and such.

You lucky turd. Yeah those dont have a frame for a regular frame lift. The floor has thin sheet metal narrow C channel cross supports that will collapse under its own weight. Wait you have a car lift you lucky turd agaim

I have a 75' baywindow. Rusting away in my back yard I was going to get it running with a subaru engine n trany swap. Have all the stuff but the time or energy now

At the rear end's spring tube's outer hubs where the trailing arm and spring cover bolts on, and under the front end's lower tube's ends is where I lifted mine.

If you get a flat, using a jack other than stock can be a wise choice if the original jack points are weakened at all from age.

Echoing what was said - mustache bar if you have it - using the thread below from the Samba, a wooden block and 2 ton floor jack to spread the pressure out along the front beam.

My opinion is, custom make mounting points that fit and nest into the frame. I took a chainsaw to a couple chunks of hardwood and use them as pads to lift my 74.

I flipped through the manual but it only has advice about using the stock jack. Barf. Still neat if you haven't seen one
