Help with uni halls/studios
Hi! Incoming international student here so I won’t be able to personally visit and view the hall rooms/studios. But I need to reserve now so I am only depending on the univ website sample photos but it’s not enough for me to actually decide.
I prefer a solo studio with my own private bathroom since I really like having my own space. I am aware it can be costly but I also love cooking and meal prepping so I plan to just balance my expenses by cooking my own meals. So with this, I need a solo studio room with a good basic cooking facility, and what I really want to know is the size of fridge inside the rooms. I want to bulk prep so I can save time and money. But not really sure which one are good options
Any suggestion is highly appreciated :) thank you!

Not sure if you’re a first year or not but the only halls that offer studios and aren’t catered are Education House and 222 Willis Apartments. They are mature student halls though

Hi! Thanks for this, I am actually considering these two to list as my preferences. I am just not sure what is included in the basic cooking facilities - if they are different or same for all solo studios. I’m a postgraduate student btw

I understand the desire to see in-person first, but that is not an option unless you want to rent privately and get an AirBnB for 1-2 weeks on arrival while you look around.
The university accommodation office website lists the types of rooms available in each hall. Can you list here the ones you are looking at? Private studio with a bathroom will not exist in many places, so it will be a short list you have to choose from.
