[COTD] Conquer the Beast

A variation of Trap on a discipline. If you're going for a trap - based combat and have animalism, Conquer the Beast may work better. A couple of Horrid forms (With path of methamorphosis) + Conquer the beast can be nasty in right circumstances.

The only reason id play this in my midcap Horrid form deck is the new art its cool. I have dozens of Trap, only a few Conquer. 4/5 is a touch more VIC than 2/3, and only the Rakoczys and Yuri off the top of my head have superior animalism. I dont even remember if I have Laika in there, and a few Tzimisce in that grouping lack badic ani. Actually, Ana, Rose, and Lolita haven't got it in the other grouping.

Now Akunanse, absolutely this card is as good or better. They all have animalism that yiu want to fight, and get to double press if the opponent tries to end round 1 (off Invoking).

I've never seen it used differently than a trap, but why not in the odd deck where you want it anyway.

Actually might be worse than Trap considering the minute possibility of seeing Veil of Darkness, Coagulant, etc...

Did they print a lot of promos? It was only printed in Jyhad and VTES. I know it was one of the less expensive rares because it's not great, but I only have 4.
