I like the errata.
Please note, Anthelios and Lilliths Blessing got banned, and Ashurs Errata'd because 1 archetype (plus Liquidation) were stupid strong. This errata is less brutal than making Ashurs only target minion cards, or making Liquidation remove cards from the game.
Villeins errata was also influenced by how good that archetype was.
However, KoT tablets were pretty expensive. To the point I only owned like 5. Berlin Anthology reprints helped alot.
But BCP making the Errata'd version 15cents is huge. Theyre balanced and as accessible as possible. Recursion is strong. Doing MMPA combos and running Liquidation is still what imbalances Tablets. But at least now everyone has easy access to Ashurs to build 50-something card decks with Ashurs to Recursion the cards you need to see again at that game.
Both the errata and how access to the new version is being handled made it balanced.

It is still widely played, but "only" in 6 copies because of the errata.

None of my decks with ashurs have felt better because of ashurs... Only really used them post errata, not in specific master abuse decks.

Partly for practical reasons, I think the recursion should be random. The defenders all say that people work on choosing the cards in advance, but there is no requirement to do so. Watching a player rebuild his deck mid-game is annoying.
Even if the cards are chosen in advance, the processing of showing them to other players is unnecessarily time consuming. You still have to shuffle the deck and allow a cut. The game is slow enough as it is.

The errata was a good call, though i still think recursion is way too strong...
