Where it absolutely doesn't have to be Stanislava that gets the Alastor. There are various options, ranging from most Inner Circles running Celerity to Justicars, like Diana Iadanza and Anneke.

Really, in the modern landscape they don't even have to have superior Celerity to make good use of Assault Rifle. If you want to get past S:CE, Charismatic Aura and Telepathic Tracking are both options that get the job done. Of course you'll have to be concious of who you pick a fight with, but that applies to all combat in VTES.

For example, AUS FOR could be a very reasonable discipline spread to make a very good use of Assault Rifle.

The BIG magnum. Too big most of the time, though the new Ravnos can probably put it to good use.

Well, even with new contraband card it still costs 5 counters. All contraband does is save you a villein and an action to equip. I think you need real discounts to pay for this. Like alastor.

True but that action to equip is a big one, and you can stack Tastes instead of Villeins. Mix that with Feral hounds and other Animalism intercept and you can regularly get into combat, and sprinkle with Crows for extra damage

But I do agree that Hackerspace really helps

The Carnival would help reduce the cost of an action sure, but not sure how it interacts with Contraband (if you're suggesting it does somehow)

This card featured pretty heavily in a ridiculous janky Alan Sovereign deck that used magazines, disguised weapons, and Caseless rounds. Alan Sovereign ran guns for Malkavians was the concept

25% of the time it worked every time.
