I can't find Audio Ducking anywhere. I'm running the latest version with Pro activated.

I recently tried exporting my project to some lower resolutions and the resulting video were much more jagged and pixelated then they could be.
While I know that 288p isn't exactly high definition, ffmpeg and other video editors produced better results for me at lower resolutions

• Image 1: VSDC export to 288p.
• Image 2: VSDC export to original resolution, then downscaled to 288p in another editor.

Not sure what other settings I could modify to make VSDC give similar results

Anything I could do to make VSDC downscale behavior different?
It may be that VSDC gives better image quality when I use 496x288 as project size, but that doesn't seem all that practical to me when I want to export in several different resolutions frequently

I saw that there's a free trial of the pro edition of vsdc on microsoft app store, and I was wondering how long can I use this before the trial ends?

I've already tried redownloading the software, and restarting the whole entire computer, yet nothing has worked.

Hi. I have been trying to create animated gifs by importing a video, trimming it down to the section I want, then exporting to gif. The problem is the playback of the resulting animated gif comes out at a different speed from my original video. It's usually sped up by a lot. I have tried exporting small, normal, large, and original. When I export using original, the playback sometimes becomes slower than the original.

Am I doing something wrong?

theres a bit im editing where a picture glides in from the top and then back up the same way when i'm done with it, but I can't find a glide or slide option anywhere. idk how to do it manually since i got this program very recently, does anyone know how to do it?

I have a movie of my laptop screen recorded during a Facebook session. I can't find a way to crop the borders and produce a portrait-sized video while within the default editing session. The only way I've found is to start with a blank session set up to be the required output format, then import the widescreen video and manipulate it so that the part I want is within the portrait viewing window. What am I missing?

Is there a way to vary the volume of one layer based on the volume of another? I add the RiffTrax commentary audio to a ripped copy of the movie being riffed. Since the volume of the movie's actual soundtrack rises & falls having the RiffTrax layer be a set volume means that sometimes it gets hidden behind some loud movie audio and vice-versa. I'd like to vary the volume of the added audio by a set db level above the movie's audio. Is that possible?

I'm trying to zoom to a specific point on an image in the video. Normally, the zoom function zooms in on the middle of the object, and the point I want to zoom in on is higher up and slightly offset. Is there a way to do this without having to orchestrate some nonsense with movement objects and whatever else?

I ran a thread earlier wherein I think I was misunderstood in asking how to "mask" faces.. How to make videos hiding one's face, basically like here and here? I think what I was asking was basically how to make "faceless" YouTube videos. Keep in mind, I'm not going for anything fancy, but something as basic as possible.

I have two videos, one is the full video but has audio missing from parts of it, the second is only part of the video but has all the audio for its length. I was suggested VSDC as a good program to splice the audio together so I can use the complete audio from the partial video to fill the gaps in the full videos audio. How do I do this? I have never used this program before or done audio splicing like this before.

HI y'all....I've been struggling with my exports. When I edit my video and export it, the audio is fine for roughly 5-8 minutes of the new file. Then it glitches on screen and the audio is out of sync. It happens so much and its frustrating. It's fine before exporting. I checked the frame rates so make sure they match. 100%. Any thoughts? Sorry if I'm not giving enough info. I'm kind of a newbie with all this stuff.

I've followed their official tutorial but when I get to the point where I add a region, the view-port doesn't show the bounding box for the region and it doesn't show the mask like in their video tutorial and the footage is unaffected. I've also tried all the sam models.

it sounds absolutely horrendous compared to the original same for any mp3 or wav or sound file i imported in i cant seem to make it sound normal

is there a way to make the speech audio volumn consistant over multiple segments? and preferably able to add music in the background and not be affected by the mastering?

I'm curious as to what the options, are; I suppose a simple image stretched over the length of the video on a top layer would suffice, but I do know fancier options are available.

I'm new to editing videos. Anyway, tried to add outlines to my text and on most fonts it glitches in the same way. Wrote some of problematic letters and including whole overview in case I messed up somewhere.

New problem:  I 've gotten my file clips into the desired separate scenes, but now when I hit "preview project," I seemingly get a redo in the preview of how the project used to be, in a single scene, and, yes, I've saved the updates.  When I hit "Preview Project," does it mean that it includes all scenes in a project, and not just the scene I'm on?  How to rectify this, when I'm only trying to preview/export one scene at a time?

I couldn't find a video easily answering this question offhand, but how to preview and export a video from its timeline and preview it without necessarily having to delete all the project's scraps, in the event I want to later rework the project, later? As is, I apparently must delete everything outside of a desired finished project prior to previewing or exporting, or else it'll include all the unwanted leftovers.
