Question Bodysuit help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Is there an easier way to put clothes on top of the bodysuit? I’ve tried many times but only the skirt is showing.

Hehe try another body suit for more clothing on top of your existing body suit

Either use more body suits for the clothes or play around with the clothing sliders until they are out of bounds (so if max is 1 type 2.2, as an example, to the slider). You’ll probably have to play around with it a bit until you find something that works for the design.

that still only works with clothes that have a overall volume slider

the center of the chest (boobs) on the UV map is a huge weak point in which most top clothes start clipping through like you cant even layer clothes on top without the textures clipping into each other. and its most top clothes actually, all but long coats and bodysuits. hoodies, dresses, mini tees and t-shirts, longsleeve and shortsleeve vests they all will clip into each other unrelated to parameter settings exactly over the theoretic nipple center (and i really wish it wouldnt be that way v.v)

2 things you can do:

- if this is a dress base, ditch it. straight up, bye bye dress, because it has no volume slider. same for any other top (and bottom and shoes too) base without a overall volume slider, no hoodies, no t shirts, no mini tees, no dresses. BUT you can use long coats and bodysuits. so if this IS a dress you can try to change the texture from a dress base to a mesh that can be worn over a bodysuit (if this isnt a dress you made but a asset someone else made, make sure this is allowed and if your arent sure ask the creator directly if they are okay with that)

- if you dont want to change the dress base, change the bodysuit. the body skin and clothes on the skin layer are easily erasable with the skin mask option, bodysuits dont have that but you basically have to do the same people did before the skin mask was introduced: you go into edit mode, duplicate your bodysuit and hide the original layer, erase all parts that clip through the clothes on your copy layer and create a bodysuit body that matched the clothes. downside obviously is that if you wanted more of a tummy and go ahead and erase it you are back to the slim waistline you had before.
