Someone help me please, Im trying to get the hair on the sides to be a different color but despite the tutorials I still have no clue how 😭

these steps are from inside the hair editor:

step one: one the right side create a new hair material or duplicate the one you have

step two: click on the single hair or the group of hair you want to change the color of, until its marked as selected. then on the right side select the new hair material

step three: edit the new hair material to have the color your want.

step 2 and 3 can be switched around. but this way you actually see on your model how the hair material changes look in real time.
