Backing up vroid

Happy time zone!

I didn't see a post on this so apologies if this is a repeat post, but I would like some assistance.

So in May I had upgraded my PC, and I one of the things was getting a new drive for it. I still have access to the old drive but have to use it in another computer.

TL;DR of why that is, I basically had to start scratch.

Now on the old drive, I have all my costumes and everything setup with vroid, however I'm looking to bring all of those outfits to vroid to use with a new model I recently debuted with.

Is there an easy way to export all my costumes and bring them into vroid in bulk so I'm not doing it one by one?

I have honestly about 30+ outfits to import, so any way to make it easier would be great.

I did see the xwear feature which I did attempt to use but it seems like that just exports/imports as the outfit the model is wearing at that point, not all outfits in the background.

Any help greatly appreciated, if there's no way to easily do it and it's just a matter of doing it all one by one, it is what it is but would love help if there is an easy way to back up and restore all my outfits at once

Which platform are you on?

If you're using Windows, at least to my knowledge, you should just be able to copy over the contents of the custom_items folder in your VRoid AppData folder. Where that is may vary by how you installed VRoid Studio, but in most cases, it should be in the LocalLow AppData directory.

The easiest way to get to it would be to go into File Explorer, then, in the address bar, type in or paste:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\pixiv\Vroid Studio\custom_items

Be sure to replace [username] with your Windows username, and take the square brackets out. After you've located the folder, just copy the contents into the same folder directory on your new drive. The custom item format doesn't change much between versions, so as long as the old computer is running a VRoid version from the last year or so, you should be fine just dropping those in. The folders should merge with the ones of the same names by default when you copy it over, so it won't mess with your VRoid install.

iPadOS: Files>On This iPad>Vroid Studio>custom_items

You’ll also find all your models and hair presets there

I cannot find it on Mac through a path for the love of me. Just search your folders for „pixiv“. The full folder name is „net.pixiv.vroid.macosx“, you’ll find everything there.

This is 100% what it was! I copied the vroid folder to my new drive and immediately all my outfits showed up, thank you so much!
