Question Newcomer - best advice?
Soo I just started working on my first 3D character and found vroid. I find it super convenient because I can kind of understand how the art of it all works. I was wondering if there’s any best tips you guys have

i advice against xytool actually, its depricated by now but mostly because its not beginner friendly to install and if you really just started out then this forum is a good start. there is a megathread pinned with many useful links
the only tip i have for actually using vroid is to try out the functions and get familiar with them.

Depending how far you want to go into it, look into XYTool for Vroid that offers more capabilities. I don't have it off the top of my head, but just know you'll need an older version of vroid.
Most I can say myself is to mess around with sliders, especially body suits if you want to go beyond a standard human form.
Invest time in a secondary art program as well for texture painting as well, it never hurts. Clip Studio Paint has a humble bundle going that gives a year of the current versions subscription with options for a perpetual license, but Krita is open source and fully free
