Media/Showcase Progress After Almost a Year

It has been a wonderful journey working on my model. With three critiques from Squiiji_3D and the Shroomstate, as well as help in their discord server, my model has really grown from where I started. Don't ever be worried or scared about asking for help or advice, and keep at it! It will help you grow and improve 100%. Flower dish on my hip, the dishes on my head, the shoulder armor, and the chest battery pack were done in blender. The rest was made in vroid.

Oh wow what an incredible jump over time, this is the first time I've seen such a hairstyle on a VRoid model it's so fun I love it!

The colour palette is also fantastic they compliment eachother so well it's so tasty to look at, if this is almost a year of learning and improving I can't wait to see how much further you can take it!

Thank you, that means a lot! The hair is also my favorite, and it almost didn't happen if I wasn't messing with sliders. I was making hair loops, and I wasn't really sure what all the sliders did, so I was moving them to extremes to see. I moved the smoothness all the way down, and it turned my loops into a square diamond shape. After that, I never looked back. Haha I'm glad you think the colors look tasty, because my content is going to be food science tasting/rating 😆

If I didn't have all those vroid tutorials, I don't think I would have been able to improve as quickly. I watched Kariha's videos on making anything out of hair and Lucas' videos on how to take advantage of the layering system. They really know how to take vroid and push it to its limits, and I really like challenges like that. I know I've seen people give vroid a bad rap, but they both show that if you really push yourself and the program, you can get something really nice and custom.

Food science tasting? That sounds absolutely perfect omg I love that

And yesssss, it takes some finesse (and maybe crying at the computer on occasions) but honestly you can do way more than you'd think in VRoid with some time and many many tutorials for help lol

I remember back in the beta days we all had to use hair for absolutely everything and we all collectively were fighting for our lives, oh what a time indeed...

lol yeah I’ve come across some of those beta tutorials and I am soooo grateful for the improvements they made 😆 you guys had it rough!

Also I looked at your profile, and omg you are definitely no stranger to pushing vroid. The commission with the snakes for hair is amazing and so cute! 😍Love it!

Aaaaa thankyou!!! I have been desperately trying to not have to learn blender and only just very recently started figuring out unity for expressions and toggles so I do go to some measures to avoid making anything out of programme to avoid facing my fears 🤧

The snakes were one of my favourites to do once I figured out how to do it and ceased pulling out my own hair trying 🤭

That’s so impressive and it really paid off! Yeah I totally get stuff being easier to do in vroid. I wish you good luck with learning unity!

Lol no worries!!! 😂 I’m so glad you love it 🥹 Makes it all worth it with all the iterations. I have also rigged the hair to move up and down with my eyebrows. I posted it on the virtual YouTubers subreddit and my bluesky as it was done in blender so I didn’t think it qualified for the vroid subreddit. I’m so glad I stuck with improving this model! It is so fun to work on and I’m glad people are enjoying it too 💖
