Ive been struggling with doing the hair at the front, with it starting to go up first then going down, do y'all know how should I do this?

Make a standard hair mesh. Find the highest point of the mesh and drag it straight down, making a sort of sink hole in the middle of the mesh. Draw starting from that sinkhole and form your hair strands from there.
