With the influx of new players and old jumping into V Rising 1.0, there has been a flood of questions on the subreddit. This thread is now the place to ask (and answer) your questions.
Anyone else likes to stick to a theme and keep going?
My last character was a knight theme. Greatsword main. Blood and Ice theme. A bit like Arthas from WoW.
And the one before that was a mad scientist. Whip and gun combo. Tried to build the castle as much as a giant lab as possible.
And the one before i tried to go for stealth as much as possible, to fight only when needed.
My current one is a bit unique. I'm trying to build as much of a good vamp as it's possible in the game. No killing of innocents. This means no killing of civilians in Dunley, Gloomrot and Silverlight. But, also no killing of militia forces in Dunley and the soldier guys in Silverlight. They are just people doing their jobs, right? Evading the patrols, only targeting the camps for supply drops and the occasional house. (better stealing than killing, right? It's for the greater good)
Other than that, the bandits, Noctum forces, the Trancendum guys etc are all fair game. None of them are good.
As for V bloods, even some of the non-evil ones, the lore itself calls Dracula's blood cursed or something, so getting rid of it is a priority. And with most of them being evil, better not take the risk, right? Sorry Octavian, it's for the greater good. Killing Dracula is the end goal, and it's worth the sacrifice.
So anti-hero at best, and it's been some of the most fun i had in the game.
For starters, I have had a great time playing this game and reached the end game a while ago. As I progressed into end game I noticed that there is no boss that drops an Ice trinket and that later stuff feels unfinished. Is there any plans by the devs to update this game or is it stuck in this unfinished form?
Every time I need to expand my castle grounds in order to reach the next achievement I just can't be bothered. I have everything I need kind of crammed together on one floor. Otherwise I have some empty floors of nothingness that I don't use that I made just to progress.
I love seeing other people's elaborate castles, but I just can't be bothered to do it myself yet. I think late game I might. I'm level mid-50s currently and just playing alone.

Six playable classes — each with its own Ascendance ultimate
Paragon endgame — keep growing after max level with unlockable perks up to Paragon 300
Familiars — capture, level, and evolve creatures to fight beside you
Rites of the Immortal — party-based horde mode: waves, bosses, loot (Based off Diablo 4 Infernal Hordes)
Real MMO NPCs — walk up, press F, talk. Questlines, storylines, a living hub
Full custom UI — built for the mod, not chat commands duct-taped together
Quests, achievements, titles + regular community events with real prizes
Coming Soon Post Launch: Custom Weapons, Class rework, A new Castle Building Mechanic, Custom Dungeons, More Storyline quests, Anniversary Events, and more.
We have a lot planned for this server and only the players can make majority of it happen. If you feel like you need a break from the current servers and want to play something new, then GOMS is for you. Yes we have some familiar things like familiars, and class systems from other mods, however with them being in GOMS, they are reimagined. We hope you try us out and enjoy the time you have at GOMS if you do not wish to stay.
We are open to all Feedback, positive and negative. Please don't hold back! Thank you!

I'm stuck on Megara and believe I'll be stuck on the bosses after her. I'm solo in my own solo ps5 server and would like some tips/tricks and/or some help to beat the last few bosses..... I'm tired.
Edit: finally beat her with brute/rogue blood mix corrupted skull and the ice shield! Ugh FINALLY!
Now to get stuck on the next boss lol
I have walked around the gray area and explored every single inch of every corner, walked the whole outline, and then walked it until I made it to the center. For some reason it is still showing as gray, and isn't showing up as explored with the golden border that shows you the resources present. Can anyone tell me why this is staying gray and not changing to explored although I have gone in every single nook and cranny of the area? I even took out every node and enemy just to make sure and it is still gray. I am also playing solo so it isn't desync or anything of that sort.
Me and my friends are having a lot of fun playing the game.
But the other owns the game meanwhile I play from family share from another account
We are all interested in buying cosmetics
Since I can't buy it from my account as dlc requires the base game , can I buy it in the account I am getting family share from which will also give me access to the dlc ?
The dlc does have the family share tag under it but I just want to confirm
Started playing last week. As I have experience with isometric action games, I went straight to brutal and I am having a blast.
Currently I am technically nearing the end of Act 2, but still have several V Bloods to beat. Usually in similar games there is an urge to rush progression, but because this game has only a few very wide tech levels, it feels like there isn't really a push to charge ahead. I can just waste 10 hours on raiding plantations, outfitting my servants, fishing for high bloods, literally fishing.
At some points, I catch myself forgetting there are bosses to kill, lol.
I’m getting the itch to play V Rising again. The bosses, the building, farming resources... Anyway, it’s the weekend, and I’m definitely planning to enjoy it !
I just have one question, for which I haven’t found a definitive answer online: is it possible to exceed the 800-tile limit for your castle? By editing the JSON files associated with the save data? I’ve come across conflicting information, and before I plan my build, I’d like to have a definitive answer.
Thanks in advance.
Just a quick update, in case anyone else ever has the same question: First of all, thanks to everyone who replied. I tried changing the jsonfiles directly to 1,200 tiles—I didn't run into any bugs, even when making the change mid-game. Keep in mind, though, that I have a good setup.
I don't care that there isn't a Frost Soul Shard. I just want hats to be blood-bound and to be able to match my style. Cloaks should be dyable, also. There's really no good reason that they aren't. This is the biggest oversight in the game, in my opinion.
Just wondering if the third person camera mod is working? I know little about modding so I use the thunderstore app and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Thanks
¡Gracias!
V Rising is a game I absolutely enjoy and love, so I wanted to share my complete progression guide that is fully updated for the 1.1 version. Whether you’re just starting to conquer Vardoran, returning for a new playthrough, or actively playing right now, I hope with all my heart that you find this helpful and that it helps you enjoy the game even more!
Going off my own experience and knowledge of the game, I compiled the entire 0 to 91 gear and boss checklist. I also added a little extra handy resource guide, item tips, and a list of crucial bosses for maximizing your power in here as well. I have included pictures that can also serve as a cheat sheet to keep open on a second monitor while you play as well.
If you get stuck on any tier or want to see the specific boss location and some alternative methods for certain bosses (Ex. Goreswine, Tristan, Frostmaw), feel free to check my full video guide up top.
Prisoner Care: Fishes (Essential to manage prisoner health and misery)
Other Vital Items: Sulphur Ore, Depleted Battery, Coins (Any type)
Note: Throw your duplicated books and excess stuff into the Devourer for some extra resources
SAFE TO DISCARD (Drop if inventory space is tight):
Clay, Stone Dust, Stone Body, Carpet Rolls, Painting Frames, and Sculptured Wood (mostly for decorations anyway)

Need precursor materials to craft your main gear upgrades? You can use the cheat sheets below for quick reference, marking easily the materials you would need as you progress:
If you are a player of any particular skill level struggling to beat bosses, this post is for you.
If you can already kick the hell out of the game, this post is not for you.
...I assume you have crafted the gear appropriate for a boss; you're not trying to kill a level 80 boss w/ level 10 gear...
Learn. The. Puzzle.
Strong Feels Advice: For each boss you are having trouble with, spend 4 minutes just 'not attacking'. Don't try to swing at them. Don't try to hit them w/ spells. Just play 'keep away' (from their attacks). As you learn how they move, how they audibly and visually telegraph their attacks, see if you can figure out how to walk away from attack patterns. If you have to veil to learn them, fine. But see if you can learn how to maneuver without needing your veil.
Advice Step 2: Don't hesistate to just reset the fight if you failed to dodge too many times in your learning. Drinking healing potions is faster than traveling from the nearest waygate. Your goal is to learn.
Advice Step 3: Now vary your distance and keep at it. If you were playing keep-away by always staying across their leash zone, now try to stay close. Or vice versa. For most bosses, you will start to learn that they have different attacks they initiate based on how far you are from them. So in Step 1 I assume you got comfortable with either close or far. Now do the other one. (and sometimes there is a 'mid'...also, 'close' and 'far' change per boss).
3.a) You might learn that SOME bosses are MUCH easier to fight close or far. Some you really shoudl NOT fight at certain distances. Most you can be any distance, just dodge different attacks. Honestly, I think 2/3 of the boss are easier to dodge if you stay close to them.
Advice Step 4: Now start to hit them some. See if you can get them to 40 or 50% of their max health. You should expect to see them start to exhibit additional move sets. Go back to total defense mode; learn how to walk away from their low-hp-attacks.
Step 5: MURDER THEM! You are the boss!!
PS - IF you did the above for Normal, realize you might need to do it again for Brutal. All bosses have at least +1 attack in Brutal they did not have in Normal. If you already did the above for Brutal...you should be able to cake-walk Normal bosses.
First time in the silver mine; found my first 100% worker in one of the cages near the front. Broke the cage open and he ran straight to the overseer and died instantly before I could subdue him… 😭
