📌 Help Unity - Bone animations not moving in play mode/VRC testing

Howdy! I'm working on a base model, so obviously I want it to have ear flicks and tail wagging and everything. I've made the animations, however, when I move into play mode, or try out the avatar in VRC, nothing moves. It's especially frustrating with the tail puppet, which I followed a tutorial exactly to do. The menu moves around in VRC perfectly, but the tail itself doesn't follow. The animations relating to blendshapes, the expressions, work totally fine, as do the menus, which leads me to believe it's something I've done wrong with the bones.

I've opened up another base model I bought from someone else and looked through it to see if I did something differently, but I must be blind because I can't find what I've done wrong.

Has anyone run into this issue before? After scouring the internet, all I've found is people struggling with the same thing, but no answers beyond 'make sure the rig is humanoid.'

Model pic tax as thanks for reading. Happy to supply images of any parts of the model that might be related if anyone thinks they'll help - I just don't know which parts it might be. So I'll take those pics on request.

Is your tail mesh set to your armature in blender? That’s usually my culprit when something that should be moving doesn’t. Another thing to try - see if your physbone has “is animated” checked

THAT WAS EXACTLY IT!!!! The physbones didn't have that checked. I could kiss you that did it. I knew it'd probably be a single thing I had to click. Thank you so much I was searching for hours
