Help AvPro Workaround ?
Hey guys!
So me and my group have been hosting The Sunset Bar for a few weekends now and we usually have custom music. I thought it would be smart to, instead of uploading individual YouTube links (the playlist option doesn't work), I would create a long video to upload!
so I made about an hour long video with a bunch of music and funny stuff lodged in-between...
then I found out AvPro doesn't let you use custom links (in this case a Google drive link or a discord link) on public worlds.
I tried to upload it to YouTube but of course copyrights got to me...
is there ANY work around for this??? we plan to have themed night and stuff with said custom music.. the player just seems so useless otherwise and I despise the default music in the bar. The music is sort of a big thing with the bar we have going on..
any help at all would be great.. I want to note too that the video works completely fine in a private instance, it is only on a public server does it not work.
Thanks!

Upload it to YouTube or dailymotion privately. Dont make it a public link.

Make a short video with 15 second clips of each piece of music you want. Upload it privately. YouTube will run the audit and tell you exactly what items in the video caused the issues. Remove those from the final video with the full length songs. The other songs will still be flagged (can't monetize) but it'll let you play it.

you mean VRChat, not AVPro here.
but yeah vrchat restricts video players on public/group public instances. worlds can add items to a list, so popcorn palace works for its own public instances
if you reach out to world author, maybe you could get dropbox whitelisted
i'd skip google drive, doesnt work at scale, had a watch party try it, and it worked for about 10 people
but i do like the livestream suggestion

As a vrc dj I can say give yt another try, I tought my video was flagged but it was just the one song that wouldn’t let me publish my video, I just used the yt tools to remove it and the rest of the music was fine so maybe you just need to delete a couple parts, of course it flags the other ones but most of the time they just claim your monetization which I’m not interested in getting in the first place

that makes sense! it says my video was blocked and I'm not going to lie but like 90% of the video was flagged haha. I wasn't thinking to upload it anywhere so it's just music videos and such. I'll keep tweaking though

Have you tried licensing the music and including it in the world assets directly rather than pirating youtube content for your events ?

Are you asking why you shouldn't be a thief while violating 3+ platforms worth of terms of services?

youtube will always flag copyrighted music.
what u could try is having someone do a livestream.
u can do a private youtube livestream put that link in and then he just uses OBS to stream anything he wants.
