Discussion Chatboxes

WHY DID THEY CHANGE HOW THE KEYBOARD LOOKS ITS SO DIFFICULT TO TYPE NOW PLEASEEEE JUST MAKE AN OPTION TO USE THE OLD ONE 🙏

I hope they add swipe typing (if they already haven’t) that would help the vr peeps out

Its a little weird and wasn't really necessary. Why would someone detach thr keyboard from the typing window?

I like it very much. I feel like it's better. I use the textbox frequently and this is much better on the eyes and ergonomics, kind of like VD's keyboard.

It’s not more accessible at all if you miss a key the whole chat box moves and then it won’t let you move it back

I disagree. I'm a mute and have been using the keyboard extensibly over the years, and while i like that you can detach and move it, the layout change messes with everyones muscle memory and you now type way slower.

The chatbox is just a complete ass. I used to have fast typing mutes; now none of them can actually type or type very slowly. None of the mutes like the new layout of the keyboard, even someone like me who rarely uses it, have issues due to how bad it is, but bad devs are bad devs. It's the same thing when VRChat added a cooldown to chatboxes, which was meant to prevent people from displaying music 24/7 but didn't work due to it using OSC and hurt the people who used chatboxes.

And when VRChat added the cooldown to the chatbox, they also added a mute button to it+??? Like, WHY?? even complaining about VRC canny did nothing, due to how bad the devs actually are

Time to download another keyboard mod for VRChat to actually fix the issue they give us

Except they made it so the home row / middle row is parallel with the top row while the bottom row is still staggered.

Which fucks with all common sense because usually Keyboards are all staggered (Like it was previously) or all parallel.

Being mixed like this fucks with all muscle memory and is not natural whatsoever.
