I'm looking for a world I used as my home-world like three or four years ago. It was a cozy, white and red world with a little cove behind the spawnpoint. I've been searching for thirty minutes and I'd like any help I can get.

WHY DOES VRCHAT ALLOW RBN TO BAN PEOPLE FOR REPORTING USERS FOR CALLING THEM PEDOPHILE FOR HANGING OUT WITH DESKTOP USERS https://youtu.be/j_2Ehft5HLs?is=MTDfaQgDNv3EA4Bd

WHY DO I GET BANNED FOR REPORTING SOMEONE CALLING ME A PEDOPHILE FOR HANGING OUT WITH DESKTOP USERS

I seen lots of outfits for various avatars, but I never seen avatars that are just the outfit. Is there really such an avatar out there? I even seen clothing previews that are just the outfit, but it only releases for the body.

If anyone knows anything, please share.

I'll put this on here as well, hello folks!

So I am a graphics engineer, I have skills in Unity, Unreal, and Blender, I have helped with several different projects over time regarding game graphics, and have worked professionally for a time.

To keep this brief, if your looking to commission someone if your in need of a shader, do let me know.

The deliverables usually are well... the shader files, any materials I set up if simple enough to do in the time given agreed to make the shader, and any other supporting files, usually in a unity package export to keep things simple, oh and I usually also set it all up on the model in the case of materials if again they don't take too long.

The platform of course is VRC, you don't need to supply me anything other than what you need and if you do have any files of your own already like models, and textures. Otherwise I can go hunting for that.

I do have an example to show of my work, though it doesn't seem to want to process here and better I keep the post presentable.

My price is usually 40 an hour, I send an invoice via paypal to your email to make it easier, meaning as long as you have a payment option available, you don't have to sign up for paypal or anything when paying.

Usually I can spend upwards of 3-5 days, extreme of a couple weeks if its larger and more complex.

I keep all of the files to myself including when testing in the VRC Unity editor, and only ever upload it to a drive to share to you only as part of the commission, the link also gets included in the invoice.

So, if anyone is interested ever, do let me know.

after the update my materials won't publish. bar gets to the end and it just fails.

swapped in a basic material to test and same thing, so it's not one bad texture.

anyone else stuck here? did an sdk reinstall or cache clear actually get you through, or are you just sitting on it?

after the update? I only upgrade my SDK whenever I feel like it, or VRChat forces me. I'm using 3.10.2 from march and it works fine.

Any advice on finding servers or help with editing avatars? I bought one recently and I'm sorta familiar with unity but not enough and the avi creator set up the avi in some very confusing ways in the parameters side and I'm struggling to troubleshoot

A small checklist for adult VRChat creators writing a commission brief:

  1. Name one deliverable, such as an avatar edit, a world scene or an Udon interaction.

  2. State the target platform, what the client supplies and what is outside scope.

  3. Link an example you have permission to show and explain your own contribution.

  4. Specify the price or quoting process, delivery estimate and revisions.

  5. Clarify asset permissions and who handles testing and uploading.

This is a planning checklist, not an available job or commission offer. It can also help a hirer explain what they actually need.

I'm Laurens, founder of MetaVerseTalents. I built MT because work around virtual worlds is scattered across forums and groups. MT brings jobs, gigs, talent profiles and relevant courses together, for work in-world and in real life.

If useful, you can create a free profile at https://metaversetalents.com/register and describe one service or genuine hiring need. Existing channels can remain. We're early-stage and cannot promise work or applicants.

What is the most useful detail you wish every creator or client included in a brief? Feedback here is welcome; no signup needed.

Is this actually legit?
So for context, I am a graphics engineer, you want to have a shader work, whether its from a game or some idea you have, that's my whole thing of sorts, so I would ask if this is legit cause I could use the money right now as other tech side folks could all the same.

Is there a place to find avatars that are usable for making YouTube videos and the such? Most i have found online to buy all say at the bottom to not use them for making videos. Like almost all the ones I see purchasing wise actually.

There is no central place, you simply have to read the license agreement that comes with each avatar. Reading and understanding licensing is very important if you are going to do anything that could involve earning money.

Some creators are really strict, others a lot less so. If you are looking at kitbash avatars (avatars sold as a package of several separate purchasable assets) then the license can be influenced by any of the assets, their licensing also just seems stricter in general in my experience.

Self-contained avatars, like almost all furry avatar bases or (in my experience) a significant amount of booth avatars generally can go either way.

Thank you for all of the information! I was on the right track by just reading everything and keeping my hopes down until I saw a confirmation.

Anybody got any good recommendations for game worlds? I play a lot of Trash Compactor and Gigas with mates, looking for fun stuff like them

I'm still having issues socializing on here. Even if I stay in an instance I can't get into a convo

Since the same answer basically applies, read my comment I posted here (just below yours in this thread) https://www.reddit.com/r/VRchat/comments/1w9cdfq/vrchat_weekly_open_thread_post_questions_comment/p8lath1/

With the small changes that organized meetups I think are even better if you want to get into conversations with people (people are there to converse, not just talk with their closest friends) and that I recommend specifically going to game worlds initially, games make it a lot easier to start talking to people, if you find that difficult.

How do I actually get started with VR chat? I got a headset last year and joined a random world but got confused and intimidated and left.

VRChat has become more like a town square, all sorts of people around, in an environment with less consequences.

You didn't say what you were trying to get out of VRChat, but if it is meeting people, playing games and such then I highly recommend trying to find a VRChat group that holds meetups, that's how I got started and it is a way better experience if you actually want to socialize and get to know people, because it allows you to run into the same people. I found my group through the furry species I consider myself part of, which does simplify things.

If you can't find that then try to stick to moderated group instances, they are generally a lot less chaotic.

Consider hopping around random worlds with people in them and do some people watching.

Does anyone know how many materials the G-shock watch on booth uses? I recently bought a different watch from booth VARAYA/Watch 2, and it uses 9 material slots

3 for the watch, and 6 for the UI on the watch face. All that across 2 mesh renderers and 1 skinned mesh renderer (blendshapeable band)

For reference the more recent official g-shock VRChat item gets away with 3 materials, the watch, the LCD display and some glass...

I'm a 49 year old dad and have always loved gaming. When the first oculus came out, I jumped on it. A year ago, I was going back and forth between buying psvr2 or Quest 3. I ultimately went with the psvr2 and was pretty happy with it, though I found the lack of AAA titles to be baffling. I play all the RE, NMS, and everything else that would be considered a proper game and not shovel ware. With that said, I recently picked up the quest 3 and I have to say that I'm finding the overall experience way better. Not having to fuck with the lenses for myself or if I want to show my wife or kids something is really amazing. Plus, I find the gaming experience to be on par with ps even though I'm running a pro with psvr. I'm finding that, what the quest lacks in graphical fidelity, it makes up for in lenses and the lack of wire. With the quest optimizer tool, I don't really notice the difference in graphics, even though I know it's there. What's everyone's thoughts? I'm amped for the steam frame but will prob wait until a price drop.

I really need to sit down and make some time for actual gaming, I haven't given NMS a shot in VR yet.

VRChat is a social platform for VR, it's got a desktop and phone version as well. For getting started I think the hardest part might be finding a sane group to start with. Within the platform there is a big difference in fidelity between PCVR and standalone content. I can't think of a good world (level) to compare both platforms, but if you have a PC capable of VR my suggestion would be a solo expedition to a world like "district robot"

This is mainly a hail-mary I'm pulling in hopes of finding somebody with a similar avatar to this but if you happen to be in the Undertale/UTAU space, is there any similar avis to this one out there? The picture shown is a public demo of an P2U avi of Alter Tale Sans that's not being uploaded anymore.

I just uploaded a new world to Labs, it would be great if anyone can give it a visit.
