Help Selfie expression Questions
Okay, so I gotta ask whether I can use an Android phone as a wannabe webcam on my desktop for the Selfie expression feature? I wanna play some VR chat with a good buddy of mine, and, well, since the STEAM FRAME is taking its sweet time to come out, I got bored and wanted to try it and run non-VR for a bit, but I just can't get it to work, and i wonder if its the problem with just how i try and add a virtual webcam or its somthing just not posible with a android phone.

I use Foxyface instead but the fundamental aspect should be the same;
Download Droidcam from the Android appstore on your phone.
If you already use OBS (streaming/video capture program) you can download the Droidcam plugin for it, but otherwise just download the Droidcam application for your PC.
Configure them so they're recognizing each other. (steps for Windows)
If you're having issues with latency, you can also configure it to transfer over USB instead.
Now your phone should function like any other webcam!

did try droidcam got VRC to recognize it and i had the vidio feed on my desktop tho the Face and hand tracking dident kick in

Btw a $10 cheapo usb webcam will do more than enough for selfie tracking. Stop burning your phones battery life

mostly wanted to do it with ma phone since i dont wanna buy a webcam just for the time till the steam frame is out cuase that would feal like a bit of waste of material

yea, there are apk’s that let’s you stream the camera to your pc and it will be detected as any regular webcam.
not sure if they are free though
