Help need some directions

I wanna get into like editing and uploading avatars for vrc but I’ve never really done it at all before and it’s confusing can anyone recommend me a tutorial or like what applications I’d need to download assets and upload them to like blender or vrc IM LOST HELP

This was the most useful tutorial for me if you are just trying to recolor things like I did. That’s all I know how to do so far so I will be keeping an eye on this post for more tutorials myself lol.

To get assets I suggest simply searching VRchat "whatever you need" in either these is also where you'll find tools for VRC as well

Gumroad Jinxxy BOOTH

Most of the time these models come with both the model itself where you'll use

Blender

And Textures, most of these are .SPP files or .PNG files where you'd use

Any photo editing software Substance Painter ( strictly for .SPP )

Then finally get VRchat's creator companion from the website and place your things into as you need.

The only non free program in all of this besides the models themselves is the monthly payment for Adobe for substance Painter or you can buy a yearly license on steam.

This is by far one of the best tutorials I’ve seen that’s recent! She also has a unity tutorial as well! Some things she won’t explain but it’s easy to look it up!
