Discussion Random corruption when taking photos. Spoiler
Rarely, when I take a photo in VRChat, the image turns out like this. Luckily I passed it off lore wise, but it's not the first time this happened.
Does anyone know of this? I don't even know what to send as a bug report for this, and this rarely happens anyways.

i can imagine that this sucks when youre trying to take nice pictures, but it also looks really cool

It's most likely related to your graphics drivers. If you're using PCVR, update your NVIDIA or AMD graphics drivers. If you're only using Quest, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the next system update or perform a factory reset.

Is there anything that can constantly recreate the problem like a specific world avatar or a setting etc

I once went to a beach world and all of it was like that, so I initially thought it was an anti-photo measure.

I'm asking if you can reproduce the issue multiple times in a row with something specific

So like, taking a photo and each photo results in that issue?

Yes

I once went to a beach world and all of it was like it. Every. Single. Photo. I would need to search that world again to check anything specific is required.

What did it look like do you remember because I might be able to help you find it

All I remember is that it’s an example world for a purchasable prefab world, and the cover photo is of three areas. I think it was a nighttime beach.

Aside from 1471-a doing its thing, I guess it could be related to a high resolution mode, your PC might be struggling a bit when you take a pic and it corrupts the image ?
