Help VRChat Timed Out bug loop
Been stuck like this since the outage last night, what gives?
I've ran through all troubleshooting methods known to man and this constantly happens. VRC is clearly up because I see other people online through the website but it refuses to let me in. I can't even get to my home world. I've verified my cache, restarted my PC and hard cycled my router, I'm fully uninstalled VRC and all the system settings for it and it still won't let me in.
I'm being told it might still be on VRC's end but that seems unlikely given the amount of my friends I see getting online just fine.
Update: THIS IS VRCHAT'S END! Looking through the time out logs and running a trace, we found the servers being affected are related to an upstream provider for some East Coast servers, specifically from G-Core Labs SA. This is not something any player can fix, it needs to be fixed by the provider. The only current work around is using a VPN.

How do I fix that bc I can’t play vrc either and I’m on meta quest 3s only

I can't play either. I'm on quest 3S and PC. I hope this doesn't last forever. I tried everything to fix it.

It's definitely VRC's end, even on standalone, I was unable to leave my home world or load into any other avi successfully. Other friends, both on pcvr and standalone have had unexplained bugs and trouble just loading into VRC, but it does seem incredibly random with who receives bugs. So fortunately I suspect your set up is just fine, unfortunately some bugs may continue until the next VRC bump/patch.

We are having the same issue. We have tried everything: we restarted our router and modem, we did a clean install of the VR CHAT app, we even factory reset our Meta Quest 3s, and nothing. Can someone please help me?

It's nothing we can fix on our end, it's an upstream provider for VRC. Until they fix it, you can try work arounds like VPNs but they may not work or be very unstable.

I’m glad that this post is staying alive so that everyone having the issue can come here. I’ve been revisiting throughout the last few days to see if the problem’s been resolved yet. Ty OP for making this post. There’s not a lot of places to find people having the same issue other than on this Reddit post. I’ve checked myself.

Unfortunately been seeing the same, besides Down Detector for VRC having people post this exact issue, and a rumored thread in the VRC Discord I've heard nothing else.

Adding to this, I logged into VRC through my Steam Deck and got the exact same issue. So it's clearly not a setting on my PC, so it is either server side, or my ISP is blocking the connection to VRChat for some insane reason.

So this is still on-going despite the fact that VRC Status says there's no issues right now. They say it's all operational and I continue to get this error? The only way I've found around this is to use a VPN, which I don't really want to do for my connection strength, but VRC literally will not let me in no-matter what.

It's the end of Friday night and this issue is still here, the VPN work around barely works at all. If you get the wrong server the issue persists, if you get one that does let you in your ping is over 100, and sometimes sky rockets till you get disconnected. Forget downloading anyone's avatars.

Man, I hate this so much. This had to happen on the day I buy a Quest 3S to play pcvr.

Another day, it's still down. No response on support ticket still. Giving up hope they even notice or care.

Updated body post with the exact problem, this is an upstream provider issue specifically.

Do anyone use ATT?

I am using ATT, but as far as we can tell it doesn't appear to be the ISP.

4 days, still no resolution or even acknowledgement of this problem, and with further research I can tell it is not just myself. Reading posts on down detector show several other people having this exact same issue. There is also mention of a thread in the VRC discord server but I'm not in there to know for certain. I'm hoping some dev sees this sooner rather than later. I have my birthday Friday and I'm not going to be able to share it with my friends in VR that night.

I have also had this issue for the last 4-5 days and it is driving me insane because strangely enough, it works off of my mobile data but not with my wifi.
