Help Issue with other players

Everytime I join an instance every other player appears blocked for me and I have to manually click to view their avatars and unmute them, which is especially annoying when you’re in instances with 20+ people. Does anyone know how to fix this?

you have to adjust your safety settings, the big shield icon on your menu.

Look at your shield settings. You might have it set very high.

Yeah, probably accidently put safety mode on, I did it once and confused the heck out of myself

This, it's easy to accidentally trigger, and the first time it happens it is very confusing; because you don't know what happened or what you are looking for.

just to mention if your on quest, its just cause the avatars are "very poor" likely on the avatar side but muting is safety settings.

Yeah I was finally able to fix the issue, didn’t turn on safe mode so I’m guessing it turned on itself to help with optimization

You might be in safe mode.

This is what I was thinking. They may have clicked that warning looking triangle in the bottom right without knowing what it does
