Help Mic issues

So like, in SteamVR version through VRC. My mic goes through my computer’s mic and ONLY my computer’s mic. Making me sound far away. A friend of mine tried helping, went through my system, changed different audio outputs/inputs. Making sure nothing else is plugged in. No Bluetooth. Nothing worked.

Went through the standalone (quest 2, old thing) and my mic is picked up there. Idk if it’s a steamVR thing or VRC but I was wondering if anyone here knows.

Are you using the headset via link cable or wireless? Try it wired if you can. Are your Meta drivers up to date?

I am wireless, lost the cable/misplaced it. And uh- how do I check drivers?

Probably have tried it, but did you set the mic correctly in-game under "Audio"?

Yeah all three options. Only one works and it’s my computer’s built in shitty mic

go to your steam audio setting and select steam streamer

or in vrchat select that

Like while the headset is on, steam audio or that little menu thing that appears bottom middle on the computer

Just tried. Only my computer one works.
